The Movie:

The lovely Lauren Phoenix gets behind the camera for this selection of five girl on girl anal scenes, clocking in at a combined running time of over two hours in length. She's assembled a pretty solid roster of talent to work with on this project, here's who does what with who and how it all works out…

Chapter 1 – Julie Night And Missy Monroe, with Lauren Phoenix: This scene starts off with Julie and Missy fooling around together, tongue kissing and rubbing up in that special kinda way that only paid lesbians can manage. While the sex is repetitious and follows a very obvious and rather generic formula, the strength of this release lays in the casting. Each of the girls represented on this release is hot as hot can be and the majority of them are quite enthusiastic to be working with one another under such carnal conditions. Realism be damned, these girls are acting out a completely stereotypical male fantasy, but they do a very nice job of it and for that, my hat is off to them.

The DVD

Video:

This fullframe, shot on video production looks decent enough. The producers took the time to light their shots (or at least it looks that way) and the transfer has been done properly so as to minimize video noise and compression artifacts. Skin tones, ever important in porn, look natural as do most of the other colors represented in the picture.

Sound:

The Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo mix is of pretty decent quality. Background music is mixed in properly against the recorded sounds from the sex scenes and I didn't notice any hiss or distortion present on the track at all. There were a couple of spots where the background music did get just a little bit too loud in the mix but it didn't last long and the only reason I really picked up on it was because I was listening for discrepancies in the first place. The mix on this DVD, like the entries in the series that preceded it, is very solid.

Extras:

First up in the extra features section is a behind the scenes featurette. At four and a half minutes it's not very in depth at all and really doesn't consist of anything other than some footage of the girls goofing off a bit on the set. The only redeeming part of this segment is that they ladies are naked throughout, so there is that, but don't expect to gain any insight into the world of XXX filmmaking through this quickie, cause it ain't gonna happen.

The only other real extra feature on this disc are extended strip scenes. Each of the five scenes in feature starts off with a girl twirling around on a pole, and these are just longer versions of those clips. There are some mild lesbian high jinks contained inside, but the emphasis is on mild.

Aside from that, we get a still gallery, animated menus, trailers for a few other VCA/Excessive releases, a phone sex add, and a web-link.

Final Thoughts:

A nice selection of girl on girl hardcore scenes, Pussy POV doesn't have much to offer in terms of anything new or anything in terms of production values. What it does bring to the table is some good old fashioned dirty lesbo smut, and on that basis alone, it comes recommended.
