Extra's: The only real extra was a bonus scene from Blind Date. I'm not exactly sure why a lesbian scene was chosen for an anal compilation but it was a decent scene in general. I wish I had seen the original movie. The other extras included the usual trailers and photogallery.

Audio/Video Quality: Art of Anal 2 was presented in the original 1.33:1 ratio full frame color that the scenes were shot in for their original movies. For the most part, the scenes were clear, crisp and had very accurate colors/fleshtones with minimal grain or video noise. Even the worst of them was not bad looking which is surprising considering how little work goes into most compilations these days. Whether a scene was shot by Bud Lee, Jack Remy, Robert Herrera or one of the other directors that Simon Wolf has employed over the years, a significant amount of attention was paid to make the cast look as good as possible, something the company has long strived for in their productions. The audio was presented in the usual stereo English and was generally clear with at least a little separation between the channels and fair amount of dynamic range but this has never been an area that Simon Wolf has spent as much attention as they could've (yet they're often just as good as some of the high budget companies).

Body of Review: Anal sex is probably the current standard act in porn that most companies not reaching for the elusive crossover market (there are even arguments whether such a market truly exists) seem to feel obligated to provide in their releases these days. Personally, I love the look of a shapely ass but couldn't care less about anal sex (if a gal wants it or is offering, I'll wrap my rascal and plunge away but I don't pressure them to get it) yet I readily acknowledge that many fans want to see a gal take a cock deep inside her ass (and like it) or they won't enjoy the show. Due to the pressure on companies, this creates an interesting situation where they sometimes put too much emphasis on the anal or circus act sex, leaving people like me out in the cold. Anyway, Simon Wolf is one company that has provided a lot of good sex of all types and they have been getting more into compilations of late, since their distribution deal with Pure Play Media. This review is about one such compilation, The Art of Anal 2, a set of fifteen scenes (or partial scenes) where anal sex is the main focus of the talented cast. Rather than give you a blow by blow account, especially since no one thought to provide a list of which movie each scene came from (there were missing bits of information from the cast too), I'll list the performers of each scene and provide some general commentary at the end of the listed scenes:

Summary: The Art of Anal 2 was a decent compilation, marred primarily by the editing of the scenes in many, if not most, cases. I may have fussed about the way the scenes weren't fully credited by release and other minor aspects but the bottom line is that I, like many other consumers, don't want the anal sex edited into shorter versions of the scenes; we want the full scenes. That said, I think there was enough material here to warrant a rating of Rent It or better, even with all my listed concerns. If you like the cast, like watching anal sex, and want to see some of the reasons why Simon Wolf movies have been so popular, check this one or others out, just keep in mind that this wasn't their best release of late.
