The Movie:

Nina Hartley is one of those living legends of porn. Shot on digital video, this fullframe image looks pretty good. The filmmakers lit the action properly, which makes all the difference in the world in regards to quality porn. Flesh tones look life like and natural (if a little red towards the end… ba-dump bump!) and while there is some mild edge enhancement and video noise present as well as the odd spot of mpeg compression, for the most part this disc looks just fine.

Sound:

The Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo sound is a little bit flat in the way that the dialogue is recorded but everything does come through clean and clear without any audible problems with hiss or distortion. Background music is mixed nicely against the dialogue and the foley sounds and there aren't any real problems with this average quality sound mix.

Extras:

The matronly looking Miss Hartley is on hand for a videotaped interview on the subject of spanking. This segment runs for just under fifteen minutes and she talks about all manner of spanking related topics, how to incorporate it into one's sex life, etc..

Adam & Even has also included a bonus scene from the film Naughty Little Nymphs in which Joey Ray gives it to Allyson Chaynes after she walks in on him fucking a rubber blow up doll. Final Thoughts:

Nina Hartley's Guide To Spanking is part instructional film, part porno which makes for an interesting contrast. The set up makes way for the two steamy sex scenes and while more scenes would have been welcome, this disc could come in handy for those looking to introduce a little ass slapping hijinks into their bedroom fun.
