Extra's: There weren't many extras this time with the best of the batch being a 7 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Chico. There was some extra sex in it but it was too limited to really appreciate. The other extras included some trailers, a slide show, a double sided DVD cover, and a mail in coupon for a free music CD.

Audio/Video Quality: Built For Filth was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by whomever the director was for 1st Strike Pictures, a subsidiary of Nectar Entertainment. The scenes looked very different from one another with some having issues with fleshtones, others with lighting and grain, and still others showing some terrible composition work. I know Nectar makes some very stylish looking movies but this looked amateurish and thrown together with the sole saving grace that there were no compression artifacts. I hope they rely more on talented directors than whoever shot this one since it really looked poor in many ways. The stereo audio was basic with the cast being heard over the music track and I have nothing really important to say about it this time.

Body of Review: Sometimes a movie has all the right elements and it still doesn't work for some reason. This could be that the cast had an off day, the director was pissed off about something, the crew might've had a big party the night before or a host of other things might've caused the movie to sink below the usual quality fare a company is known for. Such was the case with Built For Filth, a movie credited to both the Kerkoves as directors (a near impossibility folks), where only a couple of scenes managed to get any wood out of me. The basic premise was to show a lot of gonzo action with little else to get in the way of your stroking pleasure. If this sounds good to you or you're familiar with the quality of work the two directors have displayed elsewhere, keep in mind that the movie fell flat more than a few times. With no condoms used, here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action:

Scene One: Audrey Hollander, the redhead on the front DVD cover, was up first as she masturbated on a couch along side Bridgette Kerkove. Audrey likely aspires to reaching the depths Bridgette has achieved so it came as no small surprise that she was already sporting an anal plug as the guys took turns boning her ass (with the plug still inside her…ouch!) and slamming their dicks down her throat. The guys in question this time were Buster Good and Otto Bauer, each acquainted with the rougher sex Audrey seems to favor. She also did a DP with the plug still in (doesn't that make it a TP you ask?...not really) with some PTM and ATM as she slobbed their knobs afterwards. She had a large gape and spoke dirty much of the scene with the kind of energy you'd expect of her so the scene was well done for what it wanted to be. The scene ended with dual facials and swallowing action for those who care.

Scene Two: Britney Madison, a bleached blonde wearing a hot looking fetish outfit outside (black PVC and red fishnet stockings), was ordered by Bridget to do Dave Hardman; a task she took a shine to immediately. She also has an anal plug to stretch her rectum for some powerful boning on her backside but the oral took precedence initially (including some of the kind with her on her stomach, holding her heels, like Skeeter favors in his movies, making me wonder if maybe he was present for the movie). Dave took out the plug and started pushing more and more fingers inside her, eventually replacing them with his penis. She wasn't overly energetic during this portion of the scene but she slobbed her ass juices off his penis quite readily for those who enjoy that kind of thing (I'm not a fan of it myself) and he resumed with the anal plug and his dick plunging her ass at the same time. I suppose I could comment that if her ass is so loose that he needs an anal plug to feel anything, he might want to grow a large dick (or find a tighter partner) but this is just one aspect of the growing anal fad that most of us forget about. She did show some passion at the end of the scene when she was on top but it ended soon after that with some oral delight and an anal creampie.

Scene Three: Bianca Pureheart, a cute blonde with girl next door looks and an all natural body, was up next with pretty boy Mick Blue on a bed. Mick showed her the European way of making out and that led to the two naked in bed, orally pleasing one another. Her oral could've used some work but the worst blowjob will always be better than the best root canal so I'm not fussing. She rode him from top and they switched out once but the camera angle made it look like they were hiding something and the scene could've almost made it on cable television due to the lousy angles most of the time (it was vaginal all the way fans).

Scene Four: Mandy Bright, the well known foreign anal performer long established as a premiere anal queen, was up next outside with Mark Wood and Benjamin Bratt outside. She wore a hot looking corset and red fishnet stockings but her outfit was the least of my concerns as she inhaled their cocks with a passion reserved for the top echelon of performers in the business. They each took turns at one end of hers and soon enough, she was screwing them with the kind of gusto fans wish our real life partners could display. The action was passionate and included a DP with some rough stuff tossed in for good measure (along with the usual taste testing), making it the best scene of the movie to this point in time.

Scene Five: Brandi Lyons, a lean brunette that has been somewhat hit or miss with me, finished up this plethora of pussy while on a couch with hubby Scotty Lyons and Dave Hardman. She wore an ill fitting corset and matching stockings but the guys didn't seem to mind as she took care of their needs. Sexually speaking, the scene was filler all the way in my book, lacking any of the heat and passion that a few of the earlier scenes had (certainly compared to Mandy's scene before it). There was a DP and some gaping with lots of taste testing but so much of it seemed mechanical that I wasn't interested (and the poor lighting and camera work didn't help much either). It ended with them blowing loads into her mouth but it was boring to watch.

Summary: Built For Filth was not the kind of porn I was hoping it was based on the DVD cover. The cast was all known for having some talent and the crew have proven themselves more than a couple of times on other productions so I'm not sure what went wrong. I'm rating the movie as a low end Rent It although I'm told First Strike makes some really solid porn (I liked Rock Slut about as much as this one). Sometimes the reasons why a movie doesn't quite make it vary but the polish needed to score a hit can be evasive so I'll keep the company in mind as I review other titles. With better production values, better extras, and more fuck for the buck, it could've scored higher but the competition is getting fierce for your hard earned dollars so don't expect all that much from this one.
