The Movie:

The premise of this one, which is essentially a gonzo movie with some comedic touches, is that XXX alt porn diva Joanna Angel answers fan mail which pretty much allows her to segue into hardcore fuck scenes wherein we learn her tips and tricks and she's able to give advice to her fans. The whole thing is a farce as far as the setup is concerned, but it's done well and Jerome Tanner keeps the action moving nicely, the sex properly steamed and the comedy light but effective. Aside from that, there's little plot to discuss, so let's not waste time on that. Here's the play by play...

Chapter 1 - Joanna Angel And James Deen: Joanna looks fantastic in this scene that she shares with beau James Deen, starting things off with a little finger bang action. Sure the disc is marketed more towards the spank crowd but it could go over well with couples as well. The DVD

Video:

This shot on video production looks pretty clean presented here in a reasonably stable 1.85.1 non-anamorphic widescreen presentation. There is some mild edge enhancement in a couple of spots and a noticeable bit of mpeg compression evident in some of the darker colors and the blacks but other than that, there's not a lot to complain about. Skin tones look nice and natural, the compositions are dead on, and aside from the fact that this digital video production looks like a digital video production and as such suffers from the minor defects usually associated with the format, everything is coming up roses as far as the look of the film is concerned.

Sound:

The Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround track is quite sufficient. The dialogue comes through cleanly and clearly as do all of the moans and groans. The soundtrack is mixed in properly at a respectable level so as not to overshadow the speaking parts when they do occur. Bass response is nice and lively and overall, for a porno movie, this is a better than average effort.

Extras:

First up is a lengthy Behind The Scenes (37:41) segment that is a mix of candid interviews with the girls from the feature and some random backstage/BTS footage. There's nothing particularly mind blowing in here but Joanna's interview is pretty candid and rather amusing as is the final bit where she tells James Deen to piss on her just like the girls in the Max Hardcore movies.

From there we get some trailers for other VCA DVD releases, animated menus, and chapter stops and a decent still gallery. A second disc in the set includes the feature True Hookers Stories but the review copy sent doesn't work - let's just assume it's rad and full of hookeriffic action!

Final Thoughts:

Assuming the second disc adds some quality fuck for the buck to the package, this is a pretty solid release from VCA. The sex happens semi-naturally and it's pretty steamy to boot. Joanna looks better here than she has in a while and her co-stars are just as good in their respective roles. There's enough kink to keep things interesting without going overboard and while this movie won't change your life, it's definitely an effective and at times pretty humorous slice of porn. Recommended.
