Extras: There were trailers, a photogallery, a promotional reel, the usual spam, and a slipcover with double sided DVD cover but the three main extras were the three bonus scenes. The bonus scenes came from Sexpionage (Teal Conrad with James Deen lasting 21:38 minutes), Underworld Asphyxia Noir with Jessica Drake and Toni Ribas lasting 21:39 minutes), and Immortal Love (Chanel Preston with Mick Blue lasting 15:32 minutes).

Audio/Video Quality: White Witch was presented in anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Scott Allen for Wicked Pictures. This is the first of Scott’s movies I’ve reviewed although I pushed for others to check out his Jessica Drake Sexpionage flick last voting cycle. The lighting and camera work were usually solid, often lending some atmosphere to the feature, and the editing by Scott was not bad at all either though the cast really was inconsistent in how they handled their respective parts (more on that later). There was no continuous company watermark on the screen at all times so many of you will appreciate that fact, the framing and art direction not bad either. The aural components of the movie were fairly well done too, the blending of vocals, music, and minimal ambient sounds about what I expect from the company these days. There was one piece of music I really liked but it was not credited so I can’t promote it but suffice it to say that the overall quality of the technical aspects of the movie were above average if sometimes too stylishly done.

Body of Review: Scott Allen is one of the latest directors at Wicked Pictures, joining the ranks of uber talents Brad Armstrong and Jonathan Morgan as the fresh blood some (wrongly) suggested the company needs. His second flick I’m aware of is called White Witch, a throwback detective noir type of movie with just a hint of mysticism tossed in for good measure. Wicked as a company is certainly no stranger to titles like this but I was curious how this new guy would combine elements such as Skin Diamond, Asphyxia Noir, Chanel Preston, and Bridgette B. to make a credible feature porno, most of them recognized for their gonzo talents more than anything else. The back of the box cover described the movie like this: “White Witch leads you through the sensuous, seedy underbelly of the City of Angels. Rourke, a private detective with a broken past is enlisted to locate a man. The wild goose chase begins with his sexy journalist bed-buddy who exchanges sex for a few leads. A significant lead is a promiscuous white witch who gives him a mysterious tea concoction that sends him into a series of flashbacks. The suspense is palpable, as bodies begin to pile up and the realization that a name and career change are not enough to shake the devil from his scent.” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Skin Diamond, an exotic hotty with an awesome ass, was up first slobbing the knob of Nick Manning, the abrasive man not seen by this reviewer in quite some time in porn. She was bent over into his lap slobbing his knob in the locker room, toying with the streamers as he held her hair to make it easier to throat his turgid pecker. Summary: White Witch by director Scott Allen for Wicked Pictures shows that dreaded sophomore slump but only enough to put the director on notice that picking the right cast for a feature is extremely important. The technical aspects of the movie were well handled, perhaps not up to Morgan or Armstrong standards but certainly better than I find at many companies still attempting to make features. The acting and perhaps the script seemed most at fault here for making the feature elements stand out as needing a lot more polishing up, the sexual trysts starring exotic Asphyxia Noir, fleshy hotty Chanel Preston, lean fuck bunny Skin Diamond or even gonzo favorite Bridgette B. were strokable enough to merit a rating of at least Rent It though I admit to expecting more in many ways from a company as big as Wicked that has the resources to “do it right” almost every time. In short, White Witch was more entertaining as a series of sex scenes than as a coherent feature, the standardized extras and technical aspects holding up well even if the main part of the show could have been better. On a side note, I really liked the front cover’s picture of Asphyxia Noir, the picture giving her a unique look and potentially serving as a still she’d like to offer fans.
