Extra's: The best extra for me was a 20.5 minute long solo masturbation scene by Marlena called Morning Jolt. She rubbed herself raw, used a toy, and seemed to have a lot of fun so given the nature of the DVD, it added some value. The next best extra was a 5 minute Behind the Scenes feature that had the gals goofing around a bit while David made some sly commentary about what they said. There was also a photogallery, some trailers, and a double sided DVD cover for those who care.

Audio/Video Quality: Strap It On was presented in the same 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by director David Luger for distribution by Platinum X Pictures. The lighting was decent, the amount of grain and video noise acceptable, and the fleshtones accurate but there was less heat than usual this time. I thought the composition of the shots was generally fine and my guess is that while some of the women were into one another, they almost always appeared to be holding back on some level, limiting my enjoyment of the action. I saw no compression artifacts and the only true "flaw" for most of you will be the barely noticeable watermark on the lower right hand corner of the screen during the movie used to combat piracy. The stereo English was about the same as always and the generic music that started off the scenes didn't last long enough in most cases to offend me.

Body of Review: David Luger has become a fixture in hardcore gonzo porn for using his eye to offer up some solid scenes of pleasure. In large part due to the nature of gonzo though, much of it looks alike so every once in awhile, David tries something new for fans. His latest such effort was a lesbian release called Strap It On where various women would be paired up to use a strap on dildo on one another. As a man, I have long enjoyed seeing this kind of thing so I was hopeful that David could switch gears well enough to provide a series of heated scenes worth watching but the bottom line for me was that it simply didn't work as well as I wanted it to. Here's a quick look at the action but unless you're wanting to see fairly new gals stumble through such scenes, you might want to take this review with a few grains of salt:

Scene One: The All American Sweethearts: Brianna Love, the cute blonde on the front DVD cover, and sultry Bobbi Blair, standing in front of her wearing a large black strap on dildo, were up first after they teased the camera in a wooded area outside. Looking like young strippers, the two kept smiling and otherwise appearing to be ready for some lesbian love so when the action began inside by a couch, I was figuring they'd provide some visual entertainment for my stroking pleasure. They made out, did some cunnilingus, and then Brianna went first by picking a purple strap on to boink Bobbi with. Bobbi got her turn soon after and seemed more in control of the action with Brianna begging for more plastic in her pussy. There was some PTM (pussy to mouth) and it was a decent, if uneventful, scene with some anal action included for good measure.

Scene Two: Soccer Buddies: Marlena and Savannah James, another couple of gals that'd look right at place in any of the barely legal, young gal series on the market, were up next after kicking a soccer ball around a tennis court for a few moments. They started kissing and retired initially to a small staircase before going to the living room for Savannah to tease her friend with a large dildo (asking her to deep throat it). She maintained her dominance as the duo made out and was also the first of the two to sport the dildo, preferring to use the clear one. Both gals were attractive and they reversed roles midway through the scene. I liked the dirty talk each gave the scene but thought Marlena was better as a submissive.

Scene Three: Banana Appetizer: Shannon Adams and Leah Lane, were the third pairing of the movie with the central theme being a banana eating contest of sorts as they pawed one another outside. They then went inside and got together on a bed as they practiced their oral skills on a good sized dildo. They followed the formula but this time, the action appeared especially mechanical and I couldn't get into it. Don't get me wrong; both were suitable looking and skilled but I never got the impression that they were into the action here. Maybe if they had a hot beef injection by David to spruce them up a bit, it might've worked better…

Scene Four: Solo Slumber Interrupted: Aspen Winters, a cutie in her 1st scene on camera, and Joey, a gal making her 2nd scene, were up next after some minor league lingerie was employed to enhance their looks. The gals were girl next door attractive but their inexperience was obvious and while I didn't mind watching them; they came off as stiff during the scene. The action was the same as the other scenes though so if you liked them, this one will appeal to you too.

Scene Five: An Afternoon Tease: Kristen Price and Sandra Shine were up last in a lesbian scene where they teased one another to the point they felt obligated to act on the direction of their wet loins. I'd have licked the sweat off the stomach of either of these two hotties and this speaks volumes since I'm not into the skinny looking gal look (there's a difference between skinny and lean). Sexually though; the scene never really clicked with me. As much as I'm a long time fan of lesbian antics with strap on dildos, I can't say that the action impressed me much here. I think David's work with hardcore gonzo works better than this type of thing but I encourage him to keep trying.

Summary: Strap It On was perhaps the worst release by David Luger, or even Platinum X Pictures, that I had seen in a long time (probably forever) so I rated it as a Skip It. As one of the company's biggest fans, I still think most of their titles are very well done and worthy of your time and money but the gal on gal action here was lacking in chemistry, passion, and heat for the most part. There'd be brief moments when this wasn't the case but then they'd overact or otherwise ruin it for me so I guess even a talented guy like David can drop the ball from time to time. If you're into lesbian strap on dildo action as much as I am, you'll probably be able to rattle off a few titles that you've enjoyed over the years but this won't be one of them.
