Audio/Video Quality: The picture looked solid almost all the time with few problems. The dark scenes weren't overloaded with video grain and noise like most company's end up with. The audio was good with a decent score.

Body of Review: Roadblock is a plotted porn feature from the wizards at Wicked Pictures. The movie centers around a career crook, aptly played by Randy, and his relationship with a sweet waitress, played by Stephanie. Without going into too much detail (which would ruin the story), let's just say that it was similar to Digital Playground's Rush. If you are a fan of Stephanie, the rest of the cast, and plotted porn movies, you'll want to check this one out. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast:

Scene One: Asia, the beautiful genius of porn, had sex with Herschel, owner of the spotted penis of porn, in the back of a car. The sex was okay and seemed to fit the movie but it wasn't her best work. Like the other scenes, a condom was wisely used.

Scene Two: Steph had what started off as a solo scene with her masturbating on her couch, before the movie showed her home video of her giving Randy a birthday present BJ. It was short but sweet and fans may appreciate the fact that Red avoided following a specific formula of oral/straight sex as far too many porno's do. Warm and fun to watch.

Scene Three: Asia went over to Stephanie's place and the two of them had an erotic scene recorded in Sepia tone. I thought the photography was skillfully done and the scene worth watching more than once. In the commentary, Stephanie tells us that this was the first time the two had sex on screen.

Scene Four: Julia Ann, an attractive blond with a curvy body, had sex with Julian outdoors. This scene was also pretty warm if not her best work. I can see why Wicked wanted her as a contract gal.

Scene Five: Isbella played a maid who masturbated on a bed. I thought she was very attractive and worth a full scene but I'd be lying if I said I didn't like the change of pace. Very warm scene.

Scene Six: Kylie, one of my personal favorites, gave Herschel a BJ in the cold outdoors. Again, I'd have preferred she have a full scene, and perhaps with someone much younger, but she did a good job.

Scene Seven: Nicole and Voodoo, a real life couple who typically generate a lot of heat and chemistry, didn't let me down. The two were dressed as cops and boned on a police car with the only scene that included anal here. Very well done except for a bit of technical problems with the boom mike.

Scene Eight: Stephanie and Randy had a full scene. It was fun and energetic with chemistry. I don't think any of her fans will feel let down by this one although it wasn't her absolute best scene.

Summary: I remember meeting Stephanie a year ago when she was feature dancing at a local club. She was handing out posters for Roadblock and told me how talented Red Ezra was as well as how many difficulties took place during the making of the movie. I like the movie a lot although I can see why a few critics were harsh on the plot itself. For the most part, the movie was fun to watch with some good acting and attractive women. The dvd extra's were great as were the technical aspects. If the story was a bit fuzzy at times, I think we'd do well to remember that porn is made on much smaller budgets with much more restrictive time constraints than even "B" movies. In any case, this was another decent attempt to provide feature porn plot lovers with something approximating a mainstream movie but with sex. The sex itself was not the hardcore gonzo type some people prefer but it was good enough for anyone but the most jaded porn watcher to enjoy more than once.

I think fans of plotted porn would consider this worthy of being highly recommended with others not as enthusiastic. You can adjust your rating and values accordingly but you really do get a lot for your money with this one. I guess I'd have liked to see another full sex scene with some of the cast that didn't get any here and at times I thought Jonathan's goofy humor intruded but the change of pace was somewhat refreshing too. I look forward to seeing Red's future Wicked releases.
