Audio/Video Quality: The picture was almost always good or better.
The lighting could've used some work to make it a bit better but it's
obvious that some attention was paid to the video at each stage of
production. The vocal track was a touch on the low side but that was easy to
fix by turning up the volume and only minimal dubbing seemed present.

Body of Review: Blue Angel is the first movie released by Simon Wolf
without the backing of another company. Simon has made some great dvds in
the past and even his competition has pointed that out. This dvd was
originally going to be a joint production between Simon's company and JKP
but for some unknown reason (probably relating to Simon's desire for higher
quality control), he ended up buying back their share of the movie. Having
watched a number of dvds from each company, I can honestly say that I'm glad
he did.

I've enjoyed every Simon Wolf dvd released so far-from A Witch's Tail, A Wolf's Tail, and A Devil's Tail, to Beauty
and the Bitch-and this was no exception. The story this time, by Simon
himself, concerns a mobster who finds himself caught in a sort of purgatory
where he is given a chance to redeem himself by helping others. If he does a
good job, he may ascend to Heaven whereas if he screws up, it's perpetual
sunburn time in the fiery pits. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast:

Scene One: Monique, a lean, long legged gal with nice DSL's (dick
sucking lips), took on Steven on a couch while his two associates watched.
No condom was used and the BJ was very well done with plenty of eye contact
before the straight and then anal sex. I thought the way the music came and
went was a bit distracting but otherwise the scene was very warm for me.
Fans of facials take note that he came on her stomach and chest only.

Scene Two: Hannah, a cute blonde, had sex with Evan outside on a
lounge chair. He gave her an especially long session of licking as he also
spanked her pussy and fingered it a lot (with a bit of spitting too). A
condom was used for the very long straight sex with her finishing him off by
giving him a handjob.

Scene Three: Nikita, sex demon extraordinaire, started the scene by
sucking Steven off while Joey and Chris watched. He declined to continue but
watched the three of them screw. She deepthroated Joey while Chris, in a
condom, did her doggy style for awhile. I thought in interesting that Chris
slapped her ass a bit, leaving handprints, and she reciprocated on Joey by
choking him while she inhaled his penis. The two guys gave her a DP that
seemed to put her over the edge at one point. The scene ended with them both
popping on her breasts and her giving some post pop sucking. It was a very
vocal scene that displayed a lot of chemistry and fun.

Scene Four: Aurora and Kate, both fairly popular gals, had a well
done shower scene that was warm and wet. Unlike far too many lesbian scenes,
they did not bring out huge toys or look bored. If you like lesbian scenes,
you really need to check this one out. Very warm.

Scene Five: Kimi, looking good, along with Monica, looking pretty
good herself, took on old Mr. Spotted dick-Herschel. It looked like he had a
bunch of age spots but a gal pal of mine suggested that they looked like
bruises more than liver spots so I'll defer to her keen eye. I liked the
energy level displayed by Kimi although the chemistry between Herschel and Monica was
somewhat lacking. The scene had him wear a condom and Kimi taking anal like
a champ. My biggest complaint about the scene was that it was edited into
the following sex scene and I've never liked that style of editing-it
detracts from both scenes. Otherwise, it was well done.

Scene Six: Asia, by this point I thought the cover girl wasn't going
to get naked, and Steven, boned. I have to agree with Bud who suggested that
this couple share some chemistry as the two looked like they forgot the
cameras and just had hot fun together. I wish the editing problem hadn't
been present to slightly diminish this one but it was still another keeper
in a movie full of them.

Summary: Simon Wolf sets a new standard for the porn industry. How
many companies spend the time and effort to make this good a dvd set? That
this is the very first movie he's released on his own is fair warning to
some of the weaker companies out there that they've been given notice-get
better or be pushed aside. The extras were among the best I've seen on a
dvd-if an audio commentary had been on the dvd, I'd have given it a "5" in
the extras category. The women were all attractive and looked to be having
fun so that was certainly a plus. The acting was well done even though
almost all of the over two hour movie was sex rather than fast forward
fodder (I started to time the sex parts and quickly found that the talking
parts amounted to less than a short scene would have with other companies).
If you want an all sex movie, this is pretty darned close in that regard.
The sex scenes were, by the way, much longer than usual here-the performers
were allowed to spend more time and didn't appear rushed which raised the
heat a lot.

For a double
dvd set with as much to offer as Blue Angel, the current price is great. I only
hope that SWO hasn't set a standard that will be too difficult to achieve in future releases. With a little bit of spit and polish, they'll be
challenging Wicked in the features market before long-and looking at some of
their early efforts, his learning curve is much further along than theirs
was this early on. Good luck!
