Extra's: The extras were very generic this time with none of them (aside from a weak photogallery) having anything to do with Chasey Lain. There was a 7+ minute long Behind the Scenes feature for Hollywood Hostel (a Kira Kener movie), three bonus scenes with out performers, trailers, a double-sided DVD cover, and forced spam.

Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, as originally shot. The scenes came from between 1995 and 2001 so you should expect a large amount of grain and video noise. Some of the darker scenes were worse than others but most of them looked similar in terms of quality. I didn't see any compression artifacts or other mastering problems as most scenes looked like they did on their original releases. The audio was presented in the usual stereo English with no subtitles or closed captioning for the hearing impaired. For the most part, deaf people aren't missing much since the vocals were almost always limited to a handful of fake moans and groans. In any case, there wasn't a lot of separation between the channels or dynamic range which should be no surprise if you've watched a Vivid compilation in the past.

Body of Review: Chasey Lain made headlines earlier this year as she staged a comeback with Pleasure, a company known for a number of contract performers. The headlines were a result of an alleged drug overdose, although the matter has since disappeared from most websites at this writing. While I think the ghouls that capitalized on Chasey's (supposed) misfortune were jerks, it raised a long-standing question in porn about stars making comebacks. Chasey had made her big mark by starring in a number of Wicked Pictures movies, propelling the company to a level that allowed it to sign such stars as Jenna Jameson, Serenity, and others of the highest caliber. Chasey was best known for her curvy, enhanced, body and beautiful eyes that seemed to mesmerize fans (at least to fans). Vivid signed her after she was dropped by Wicked and she made a number of scenes for them, with a strong emphasis on lesbian movies. If you enjoy watching this gal at work, read the following breakdown of scenes by original movie, director, year of release, and cast:

Scene One: Chasey Saves The World: D-Judy Blue: 1996: Chasey and Missy had a short lesbian scene together on a bed. It wasn't terrible since both women were attractive but neither gave much energy or did anything worth watching twice.

Scene Two: Chasin' Pink 3: D-Ralph Parfait: 1998: Chasey and Kobe had a scene in the back of an RV that also wasn't bad but nowhere near as hot as it should've been, given the best these two gals had to offer. I liked the concept of the idea but the scene didn't work for the most part.

Scene Three: Chasin' Pink 4: D-Ralph Parfait: 1998: Chasey was joined by Jessica, Katie, Kimmi, Melanie and Mocha in this lesbian parody of a superhero show. I liked some aspects of it, primarily the cast, but the heat wasn't very good as evidenced by Chasey stopping in the middle of a scene to tie her shoelaces. Fans of toys will like it since some vibrators were used but even then, it wasn't much to watch.

Scene Four: Chasin' Pink 5: D-Ralph Parfait: 2001: Chasey and Tanya were the next lesbian coupling to take place, this time on a staircase. Each gal spent time eating out the other out and tenderly kissing with no toys used for those who like such scenes kept natural in scope. In all, I liked it a bunch but that was mostly due to Tanya's performance.

Scene Five: Chasin' Pink 6: D-Ralph Parfait: 1998: Chasey and the attractive Inari had the next lesbian scene together. I liked Inari's fishnet body stocking since it really enhanced her sweet ass but the editing of the scene detracted from my viewing pleasure. Heck, I'd be satisfied with Inari just walking back and forth in her outfit but the scene was merely a bit above average.

Scene Six: Interview With A Vibrator: D-Michael Zen: 1996: Chasey, Jill, and Sindee had a lesbian scene on a couch after Jill introduced them to her favorite pal, a vibrator. This scene was shot after Wicked Pictures gave Chasey the boot in favor of the younger stars, like Jenna Jameson, who led the company to far greater success. I admit that I liked Jill's pre-implant body but her faked orgasm was lame although the gals did appear to have a lot of fun.

Scene Seven: Lethal Affairs: D-Toni English: 1996: Chasey, looking pretty good, Janine, looking like a million bucks, and Kobe, looking about average, had a lesbian scene outdoors on a lawn while being watched. They used some toys but the most energetic parts were during the initial opening of the scene where they jumped one another. Janine took a technical DP here, sadly, there was no penis involved (like you thought there might be?!?).

Scene Eight: Scrue: D-Ben Cameron: 1995: Chasey and Asia had the next lesbian scene, this time in front of a fireplace. It started off with Asia masturbating in what amounted to a warm little action sequence until Chasey walked in on her to join. The scene was too short but I liked it just the same. In the years since this performance, Asia became a better actor but her energy level was rarely as high as this simple scene.

Scene Nine: Chasey Saves The World: D-Judy Blue: 1996: Chasey and Jill started off the scene with some lesbian licking outdoors under a porch (of sorts) while Jon was happy watching and acting goofy. As the two got more into the action though, he joined them for some boning action. It was too short for my tastes (see how modern releases spoil you?) but I did like the action here.

Scene Ten: Chasin' Pink 2: D-Ralph Parfait: 1998: Chasey was joined by a gal named Shanna this time (I've seen her elsewhere under a different name) for some outdoor lesbian action. The scene seemed too short but Shanna seemed enthusiastic about what she was doing, making me enjoy this one more than I would have otherwise.

Summary: If you really want to see a lot of Chasey lesbian scenes as shot for Vivid Entertainment, you'll think more highly of this one than I did. I'm rating it as a Skip It since very few of the scenes had any heat, there were no extras worth mentioning that contained Chasey Lain, and the price was so high. It wasn't the worst Chasey compilation I've seen but only fans need apply.
