Audio/Video Quality: I Film Myself 4 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by the ladies for Greedy Video. This was the latest release under the new label and served to spotlight the company's willingness to try something new fairly well; with a lot of unpolished looking visuals used to add to the theme of the movie (a reality masturbation show where the ladies were in charge of their own scenes). The bitrate hovered around the mid 5 Mbps level but it was obvious the gals had limited experience taping themselves in POV fashion. The lighting was fair to moderate, minimizing the grain and video noise in large part, with the compositional matters being in need of some editing and better camerawork but again, that was part of the appeal of the movie; the gals controlled the cameras. The fleshtones were slightly washed out but in fairness to the movie, the theme wouldn't have worked as well if it looked crisp and clear. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English was presented in the standard 192 Kbps bitrate with no separation, minimal music and nothing to detract or add to the sex in large part. Some whispering could be heard at times but it wasn't all that bad or frequent, lending an air to the gonzo format.

Body of Review: Greedy Video has certainly been on a role this year with every one of their titles coming in view of my watchful eye receiving a good rating. Is this because they have lots of cash to send me with their screeners, the hotties they send over to my place in skimpy clothing, or just the result of trying something different in the crowded field of porn? Well, I plead the latter since I get to see a great many titles these days that show no imagination, no thought going into them, and little to stroke to; Greedy's fuck flicks all having shown me that something else worthwhile exists out there. The most recent title of theirs I took to review was I Film Myself 4, the sequel to I Film Myself 3, I Film Myself 2, and I Film Myself 1; that I reviewed in the past. The series is full of scenes where female masturbation rules, though done in a firsthand manner by the ladies themselves rather than the more typical shows like All Alone 2 (which is professionally shot to reduce the raw edges that this series provides in such quantity). Having had such favorable experiences with the series in the past and noticing that lovely Ashlynn Brooke was the lead hotty, I figured the lack of condoms and population pudding might really score here so I gave the title my undivided attention over the weekend and here is what I found:

Scene One: Ashlynn Brooke, the hotty on the front DVD cover, was up first as she mugged for the camera that she herself held in the bathroom. The bedroom looked more appealing to her and while I would take exception to where she placed the camera (it showed her nasty implant scars all too well from underneath her titties), the gal is one of the cutest ladies to ever hit porn. She had the kind of razor stubble that comes from a lack of shaving a few days but that juicy biscuit of hers was very fetching to say the least as she rubbed and massaged it thoroughly. Her use of a light blue (almost clear) vibrator turned on worked for me even before she went to the bathroom but the bed was the mainstay location of her scene. This was one of the most basic scenes in the series to date and while I wished she made it last longer, there was some evidence to suggest she got off a time or two, the scene ending when she tasted the toy clean.

Scene Two: Chavon Taylor, a curvy gal with large breasts and a face that reminded me of a performer named Gauge (from awhile back), was up next wearing a colorful outfit that did not last long in the equally colorful room. It was interesting to see one of the ladies not use a toy, the overall quality of the scene fair.

Scene Four: Kyanna Lee, an Asian gal with an average face and minimally curved body, was up next as she followed the formula in the bathroom and bedroom of what seemed to be a small apartment. I didn't care for her stretch marks either but she appeared to enjoy fingering fun without toys too so I kept watching; wondering if she knew how lame her act was on technical and heat terms. I'm sure she's a great lay in person but nothing she did here conveyed any sense of that dynamic, making it a chore to watch.

Scene Five: MacKenzee Pierce, an attractive brunette from Arizona with a love of men in uniform, was up next wearing an orange tank top and blue jean skirt in the bathroom. Summary: I Film Myself 4 by Greedy Video was not their best work of late but it still adhered to the truth in advertising I like to acknowledge and appealed to the pervert in me sufficiently to rate it as Recommended despite the technical matters on display here. Putting more emphasis on raw energy instead of technical brilliance (as All Alone 2 tried to do), it had some merit for fans, especially if you find this one on sale in the future. In short, I Film Myself 4 might well have been the least consistently heated volume in the series (not as good as I Film Myself 3, I Film Myself 2, or I Film Myself 1) but if you liked those titles for their female masturbation action; you will almost certainly appreciate this one too.
