Audio/Video Quality: Fuck For Dollars #4 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Eddie Powell (with help from Brother Love) for Greedy/New Sensations. This was the latest follow up to the previous releases under the new label and served to spotlight Eddie's skills fairly well; with a lot of unpolished looking visuals used to add to the theme of the movie (a reality show). The lighting was fair to moderate, minimizing the grain and video noise in large part, with the compositional matters being in need of some editing and better camerawork (the bitrate all over the place but looking to stay in the 4 Mbps area most of all). The fleshtones were slightly washed out in some scenes but in fairness to the movie, the theme wouldn't have worked as well if it looked crisp and clear. I had mixed feelings about the amount of camera movement used during some of the scenes too, sometimes working better with the dynamic than others. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English (at 192 Kbps) with no separation, minimal music and nothing to detract or add to the sex in large part. Some whispering could be heard at times but it wasn't all that bad or frequent, lending an air to the gonzo format.

Body of Review: Eddie Powell has been one of the newer voices in porn trying new things with his work for Greedy/New Sensations. As a fan of features and high end production values myself, his brand of reality TV styled gonzo is almost exactly opposite of what I look for most of the time yet his work has impressed me for the levels of fun, playfulness, and ability to come across as at least sort of real; unlike many of his peers that churn out generic crap all too often. His latest release is Fuck For Dollars #4, the sequel to Fuck For Dollars 3, where he and the crew picked up strangers to have sex for money on their website. The cover put it like this: "Some girls will do anything for a buck and yes that means they're going to fuck. So Eddie Powell and the Greedy crew are cruisin the streets of fuckville to find the hottest pieces of ass. To fuck and have it taped. It's real girls doing real nasty things and take our word for it ... what a difference a dollar makes." In all, the idea that the scenes were truly real is obviously not realistic to believe but the acting by the cast and crew at least provided the dynamic in a believable manner, much like the semi-scripted titles from Shane's World I adore so often. Here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Ashley Jensen, an all natural and fetching blonde with Wolfen teeth, succumbed to the series dynamic after playing some Wii games with Brother Love. Jew kept the cash flowing so Ashley kept the clothing falling off, doing so as she kicked Brother's ass at the game they played. Scene Two: Ashlynn Brooke, the beauty seen on the front cover (and showcased in a recent Blue Room Column), was up next as she was picked up at the bus stop by Justice Young, Jew, and our favorite cameraman. The victim of a crime, the guys felt for her and showed her the path to financial rewards, laying off the public nudity as they discussed various topics in the SUV on the way to the house. The dynamic ensued and she was handed bill after bill of good old American money, showing her perky assets on the couch with moper Justice before slobbing his knob. The camera was a bit shaky at times but that lent an air of authenticity to the reality TV aspect of the show; something I'd be less approving of if it happened with a different genre or by one of the bigger name directors in contemporary porn. Ashlynn was only moderately active at riding cock, mostly when on top of him too, but this was another case of the physical appeal outweighing some of the passion other gals seem more willing to add to their scenes. Summary: Fuck For Dollars #4 by director Eddie Powell (with help from Brother Love) for Greedy/New Sensations was almost a breakthrough title in the series for me due to the quality of the cast but a few scenes weren't as good as needed so it still earned a rating of Recommended. That's a solid score considering the sheer volume of titles gracing the market these days (most of which I pass on reviewing as they are a waste of time, never mind my seed) and like Fuck For Dollars 3, Fuck For Dollars #4 had a lot to enjoy. The beauty of the cast managed to set this one a notch above normal and I applaud the decision to make the series better by trying new things, like the introduction of non-sex cast members like Jew Hefner to try and elevate the comedy levels.
