Extra's: The extras were the usual lot from Vivid Entertainment, including three extra scenes starring Briana Banks and two without her, an 9.5 minute Behind the Scenes feature by Victoria Woodhill, a short biography of Briana Banks, two photogalleries, trailers, positions room, a double sided DVD cover, and spam.

Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, as expected. There was a lot of grain and video noise, with some flesh tone colorization problems but if you've seen a recent Vivid release, you'll know what you're getting into. There was some decent sex going on here so the problems weren't a huge issue if you like the cast. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 stereo English but I didn't notice any separation between the channels and the dynamic range was limited.

Body of Review: In all my years of watching feature porn, a genre I tend to like when the story is well written and the production values are high, I've noticed that when a director has a story he cares about, he tends to do a better job. This holds especially true for those who are actually good directors but even the hacks seem to put in some extra effort when they care about more than money. In a recent release by Vivid contract director David Stanley, Pretty Girl, the movie is supposed to be a representation of a porn director. While Stanley makes it seem like he's the focus of the show, I had my doubts yet I'll give him a nod for listing a great many of his flaws in the narrative. Eric Masterson, a capable porn stud and good porn actor, plays Stanley; a loser in most ways who fell into porn due to circumstances well within his control. He shows how he was unable to find a willing sex partner for six years (finally having sex with a porn performer as part of a scene), someone who AVN recognizes is unable to shoot a good sex scene, and a general whiner. For his recognition of a few of his many flaws alone, I boosted the rating of the show up a bit. The scenes themselves varied in terms of heat but the cast was attractive and fans of Briana will rejoice that she was in several of them. Here's a breakdown of those scenes by cast:

Scene One: Lezley, the lean brunette with the sexual ability few men could ever survive, had a scene with Eric on a couch. There was some decent oral and straight sex before the pop shot to her abdomen. Neither gave their best here, and the energy was lacking. Eric played David himself so perhaps I should give him bonus points for showing alack of ability (which I know Eric has, having seen him in a lot of releases previously).

Scene Two: Briana, the lean blonde that has a look much like a younger Jenna Jameson, took care of the mighty Evan, on a mattress in a white room. The sex was actually far better than average for the director, with the two showing chemistry and passion beyond his ability to screw up. While the sex consisted solely of oral and straight, it was a great scene, proving yet again that circus act sex is not a requirement to a good scene. It ended when he rubbed out a load onto her chest.

Scene Three: Ashley Blue, a cutie from Texas, had a scene on a bed with Briana, and Trevor. Briana did most of the work here and that's a shame since Ashley may not be a contract performer, but she had a lot to offer the scene. The sex was oral and straight with some minor lesbian antics. It ended when Ashley jerked him off onto Briana's chest.

Scene Four: After reenacting a scene from Long Story Short, Briana, had a scene with Steven in the white room on the mattress. There was some deep throat action and power fucking but overall it lacked chemistry and was too short for my liking.

Scene Five: After a short solo scene with Ashley, a teaser scene as much as anything else, Eric got a blowjob from the gal in a cramped room with poor lighting. The oral was slow and sort of erotic in a limited sense, with him screwing her on a bed afterwards. This was easily the longest scene of the movie and while it wasn't nearly as good as scene two, it was pretty good at times, only weakened by the narration.

Summary: I'm going to give Stanley a break and rate the movie as Recommended as a rental at least, for any fans of the cast that don't mind the technical limitations of Stanley's technical abilities. Briana looked great and the sex was good within the market niche Vivid addresses so if you want to enjoy watching the gals go at it, and don't mind hearing Stanley whine about his life, check it out.
