Audio/Video Quality: Sailor Poon: A XXX Interactive Parody was shot in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen by director Lee Roy Myers for Hustler Video. The interactive version of the movie merely split the various sex acts up into discrete selections, allowing for two camera angles each along with teasing, foreplay, and sex with the usual climax shot as the guy bust a nut of genetic juice all over the lady he was with (the men were not credited with a particular scene, only Rosano distinctive due to his tattooed arm). This allows the home viewer to pick what action is wanted and continue along with the sex, initially picking one of the ladies but being able to move around as desired. The lighting was solid and there were no obvious visual flaws, the second camera angle generally a close up of the action taking place at any given time. The aural component of the movie was a fairly balanced set of vocals and musical score reminiscent of the original cartoon series, complimenting the visuals though the parody aspect was on the light side most of the time.

Body of Review: Lee Roy Myers established long ago that he was one of the most creative porn parody makers in the industry, his works branching out over time into other genres. His latest title coming to me for review is distributed by Hustler Video, the title being Sailor Poon: A XXX Interactive Parody. As an anime fan for longer than I’ve enjoyed porn, I admit that I have seen more than a few episodes of the original “Sailor Moon” series, the parody aspects of this interactive showing on the light side so other than a few tiny clips between Tommy Pistol and Sasha Sweet, there was nothing much being parodied. What might appeal to fans more will be the cosplay of Asa Akira, Lexi Belle, and Heather Starlet all dressed up in outfits similar to the cartoon, my feelings less mixed than they were with the recent “Smurfs” parody (let’s face it, there was never anything sexual about the Smurfs but youthful ladies wearing cute sailor school girl outfits with skirts barely covering their asses is a modern porn staple). The first disc provides the viewer the opportunity to select which gal they will play with, what kinds of action she will engage in, and will continue for as long as you like. The second disc had a non-interactive version with less footage but moving from Asa to Heather to Lexi, each as perky and adorable as ever in their trysts. Going into this one I thought it was going to suck (in a bad way) but it was surprisingly amusing with some strokable sex that offered good replay value. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Asa “Sailor Mars” Akira, the Asian hotty featured on the right side of the front cover, was up first to offer up a choice of tease, foreplay or sex while dressed in her costume. This portion lasted the better part of three minutes as she stepped from side to side, caressing herself while lifting her skirt and removing her bra to reveal her boobs. Her thong rode her ass and she provided some dirty talk, bending over to take those panties off and posing. The foreplay section consisted of choices of fingering her snatch, using a toy to penetrate her, or a blowjob, Asa always active and into it, presumably with Rocco Reed given the BTS footage on the second disc. The sex consisted of her getting boned in missionary, doggy, cowgirl, reverse cowgirl, and the pop shot option; Asa jerking him off into her mouth as the real population pudding hit the intended target. Asa swallowed some of the ball batter too, savoring the genetic juice with a smile.

Scene Two: Heather “Sailor Mercury” Starlet, the curvy gal wearing the blue wig seen on the upper left hand corner of the cover, was up next and performed similarly to Asa, the options for teasing, foreplay, and sexual penetrative positions the same as she finished off Anthony Rosano by slobbing his knob. The wig looked a bit bulkier than that worn by the other ladies but Heather has proven herself to be slutty enough to handle such a role, the gal not truly swallowing his wad of splooge but otherwise offering a strokable selection of clips using the formulaic process. Her eye contact was just as great in this POV extravaganza and the pop shot was real (unlike many other, earlier interactive shows).

Scene Three: Lexi “Sailor Moon” Belle, the lean blond featured on the center of the front cover, was perhaps the best suited to this kind of thing out of the cast (though Asa was a decent second). Yeah, the reliance on a formula set of clips might have weakened it for me a little but sexy Lexi as I call her still has the youthful look to her with enough girlish appeal in terms of her all natural body to pull it off better. The outlandish wig was funny and the way her carpet did not match the drapes made me wonder but even her fuller panties seemed to suit the character better (as did her body type). I believe she was placed with Evan Stone given the excessively large ball sack the POV-hidden meat puppet displayed, her squeaky voice contributing to the effect as well. She took his facial with glee, his own hand starting it though she finished him off well enough, the glazed look suitable for the hotty as she remained in costume.

Summary: Sailor Poon: A XXX Interactive Parody by director Lee Roy Myers for Hustler Video was better than I thought it would be, the cosplay aspects making it fun, the limited story added in with Tommy Pistol and Sasha Sweet (both were campy but great) boosting up the parody aspects, and the sexual trysts quite enjoyable as some of the very best interactive sex scenes of the year. In terms of strokability and replay value, it is tough to deny that casting Asa Akira, Lexi Belle, and Heather Starlet could be anything less than a winning decision too, the way they were performing cutting way back on the creep factor other pornified cartoons have not been able to handle as well, making this well worth a rating of Recommended. In short, Sailor Poon: A XXX Interactive Parody looked cheesy and cheap going into the review process initially but director Myers and his team made this double disc effort well worth picking up for your cosplay collections, my own exposure to the source material ample enough to appreciate it all the more with a nod and a wink.
