Note: This review is for the high definition version of the movie I reviewed some time ago, the main difference being the visual upgrade because of the Blu-ray format.  I compared the two versions side by side and in a rare case of how things work, the visual upgrade just did not strike me as being pronounced enough to pick up a copy if you already have the standard definition version. By all means this was superior to the SD version but for various reasons, the digital equivilent of airbrushing (SD vs. HD resolution) seemed to work pretty well on the standard version. I am a fan of Asa Akira and the sharpness of this version did merit a nod overall, it just did not strike me as a big upgrade so your mileage may vary.  All the pictures come from the SD version of the movie, you should not be able to tell the difference given the compression between the two even if I was so equipped to show them side by side.

Audio/Video Quality: Asa Akira Is Insatiable 3 was presented in a decent 1.78:1 ratio widescreen color as released by director Mason for Elegant Angel. Bossman Hall handled the editing which in many cases appeared almost seamless, the lighting varied here but only as a means of providing some needed variety, and the camera work exceptionally strong at showcasing Asa Akira (as well as Brooklyn Lee and Dana DeArmond) very nicely in their trysts. While Asa’s female peers were only in one scene each, the camera was still focused largely on her at almost all times, fans should appreciate this clarity of vision as something quite out of the ordinary in a time when sharing the spotlight is so common. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English track was pretty basic with little separation or dynamic range yet I could hear the cast well enough in most cases. For those keeping track, the audio was offered in a 256 Kbps offering with a 48 kHz sampling rate, the grunts and groans heard well enough but the music was solid once again (this time by Productiontrax and Freek Van Workum) where it was applied as part of an aural soundscape. As mentioned above, the high definition upgrade was noticeable but not particularly pronounced, the sharpness even working against the production in a few portions of some scenes. Still, Asa in action is a sight to behold, this version overall preferrable if you have not seen the SD version.

Body of Review: Mason directs for Elegant Angel these days, her showcase titles comparable to those of Jules Jordan (a man long held as the king of gonzo porn in many circles). I was lucky enough to get a copy of her latest showcase for Asa Akira for review (other reviews forthcoming by the team) called Asa Akira Is Insatiable 3 (Blu-ray), the show a set of five all new scenes starring the popular sexual powerhouse long held as one of the best performers in a crowded industry. I’ve really enjoyed the first two volumes of the series and my only note of dismay here is that the back cover lists this as the final of a trilogy, the Asian superstar certainly proving time and again that she continues to up her game. Only some of Mason’s sole spotlight showcases, this one has Asa sharing the spotlight with ladies such as Jessie Rogers, Brooklyn Lee, and Dana DeArmond; both of these ladies capable award winners able to help Asa go even further in her sexual exploits. The company website described the movie like this: “Asa Akira is an unparalleled porn superstar. In "Insatiable 1 & 2" alongside director Mason, Asa has produced 2 critically acclaimed works of dark and powerful hardcore eroticism. Now you enjoy this finale to a legendary gonzo porn trilogy.” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Asa Akira, the hotty featured on the front cover, was up first walking down a luxurious staircase in an impressive mansion location after an opening credits montage introduced her. She sleekly walked the halls to get to the location, her black dress taken off as she approached the room to greet fellow gonzo starlet Dana DeArmond; Arnold Schwartzenpecker, Broc Adams, Chad Alva, D. Snoop, Eric John, Filthy Rich, Hooks, Mr. Pete, Ralph Long, and Scott Lyons all waiting to pounce on both of them. While I initially thought this would be strictly an oral blowbang, Dana started gobbling her gash as the men beat off, their hands pawing the ladies in such a way that I thought there’d be no way they would pass these two up. The ladies almost seemed to be having a contest of wills with each other and the men as to who could out do the other, the men soon penetrating Asa’s ass and pussy in their quests to get off. The gals orally did each other at times, even using feet on the men, but Dana was more of a fluffer here than a true lead, her mouth and hands just as important for keeping the guys at the ready to pork Asa as wildly as she’d let them. The ending rounds of population pudding flew all over the ladies to glaze their faces and upper torsos, the ensuing lesbian tryst between them as their smeared makeup lost all semblance of cohesion during the way they got each other off yet again. It should be noted that the eye contact by both ladies was exceptional too, not only with each other but with the guys as well.

Scene Two: Asa Akira, next up in an animal print bikini, prowled around the pool of the mansion in the next scene, the light pouring down on her from the sun as the camera caught lots of great shots of her perfect ass and lean figure dancing around. She striped and danced around some more, the music ending when she went back inside to one of the stately room to greet Jon Jon and Julius Ceazher for an interracial tryst. The guys pawed her and were all over her, Asa dropping to her knees to orally service them with some superior hummers, throating them deeply as they demanded ever more from her skillful mouth. The guys bent her over for some serious fucking next, the vaginal leading to anal in record time but her mouth always willing to service them as needed. She rubbed out an orgasm or two from there, some slapping and other rough sex tricks culminating in a DP where she actively rode them both to the hilt, Jon even fingering her to a frothy state before they deposited their wads of genetic juice into her open mouth for swallowing.

The ladies ended up on a fleabag couch in the room where he stripped off their thongs and went down on them, the ladies caressing each other along the way to contribute to the aggressive sex style the scene invoked as a whole. Asa did vaginal and then anal, Brooklyn keeping up with her as all three of them became excessively sweaty (panting to catch their breath as things progressed so passionately). Brooklyn was a bit less active during the anal but was still in fine form as Asa helped get her off again using her hand as James pounded her perfect pucker, her desire to do anything to get off elevating the scene for me a lot. Brooklyn sucked his spunk out of his balls for the ladies to share, the lesbian aspects of the scene continued as the ladies dug for gold and rolled around the floor.

Scene Four: Asa Akira, next up in silhouette while wearing a full bikini lingerie outfit, was then teasing as she stripped it off; her awesome ass and powerful legs just as appealing as ever though her glamorized makeup also gave pause for thought (and food for the spank bank as it were). She shook around and caressed herself as she walked around the house, the camera panning and scanning her assets before she hooked up with her real life sweetheart, Toni Ribas. They kissed and their desire to do each other was clear, the eye contact and chemistry pouring forth in so many ways that I lost count. She smiled as it became clear the scruffy knave was going to savor her boobs, pushing her against a pillar as he relished her orally from head to ass, soon hammering away at her tightly trimmed snatch. Asa lost her breath during this portion, panting away like a woman possessed, her juices freely flowing though she seemed lost in the moment when he switched over to her ass. She was not as active this time during the anal but offered herself openly as she gazed into his eyes, their sweaty forms riding each other as the light sheen of sweat coated them. Toni was rough on her but she liked it, the intense tryst ending with a vaginal creampie (a believable one at that) of splooge.

Scene Five: Asa Akira, up last in a form fitting white dress in a beat up warehouse looking like it was still under renovation, ended the series by taking on Erik Everhard, Mick Blue, and Ramon Nomar. The men were situated in what appeared to be some trashy bathroom stalls, Asa kneeling down to allow them to close around her for a blowbang. Asa gave them head like she was totally into the action, the guys lifting her dress and sampling her wares before moving to a couch nearby where they sought to make her airtight (a cock in her mouth, pussy, and ass at the same time). There was some weird swapping of cocks in her holes here but Asa beckoned them onward, her limits being pushed willingly as the guys used her up like a sex toy. She begged, demanded, and otherwise encouraged them to tear into her holes, the sheer thrill of the random encounter overriding any need for personal chemistry (such as the last scene had) or the spectacle of the opening gangbang. They did double anal (DAP) and some taste testing too, Asa greedily taking all the ball batter they had to offer and resting once out of the large room (an amusing numeric count on the wall suggesting she was a regular at this kind of thing).

Summary: Asa Akira Is Insatiable 3 (Blu-ray) by director Mason for Elegant Angel brings the trilogy to a close, the circle completed and Asa highlighted so very well in the scenes. Brooklyn Lee and Dana DeArmond also did fine in their support status roles, each deserving of their own showcase title as far as I’m concerned, so while this ending volume did not introduce anything noticeably new to Asa’s porn resume, she certainly showed the polish and prowess of a true porn athlete. How many women in porn can do as much as she does while going balls to the wall doing it and seem so enthusiastic about having a great time? The answer is that less than a handful come even close to fulfilling a single dynamic as strongly, her self-assuredness and stature clearly having grown since her first volume came out. A few of the scenes lacked chemistry and others seemed in need of an upgrade with regard to the male contingent but this was easily worth a rating of Recommended for me, the production another “must have” showcase for gonzo fans and those who find Asa Akira as fuckable as I do. Before you storm my reviewing headquarters though, keep in mind that the SD version looked so strong that paying more for such a marginal upgrade struck me as unworthy of a double dip, I just wish Elegant Angel would start doing day and date releases for all formats to allow us to choose which physical media we wanted in the first place. In short then, Asa Akira Is Insatiable 3 merits a lot of attention from the raincoater crowd for how well the lead starlet throws herself into her scenes, draining every last drop of splooge with a practiced ease you rarely see in this kind of production so give it a look.  The high definition version of the movie was clear and sharp but not as much so as other contemporary releases coming in this week so if you already have the regular version of the movie, there is no need to upgrade but it was worth considering for Asa's legion of fans.
