Audio/Video Quality: Mike John’s All-Star Overdose 2 was presented in a very clear 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Mike John for Jules Jordan Video as presented in the MPEG-2 format so common to standard definition titles (with 480 resolution). The lighting was good, limiting the grain and other visual flaws but the scenes for this compilation were shot over a wide range of time so their quality varied more than a little bit. There were no major compression artifacts (even with the bitrate hovering in the 3.2 Mbps range most of the time I paid any attention) and the fleshtones were accurate, helping make it stand out in certain ways for me. As expected, the level of quality in the multitude of ten top notch scenes included enough attention to the technical aspects as well as the casting and action, Tim apparently helping at least a few times from what I gathered. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English audio (in 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate) was a bit more basic with no separation or major dynamic range but I could always hear what was said and the music didn't interfere with my viewing pleasure.

Body of Review: Mike John is currently one of the directors distributed by Jules Jordan Video, the man widely recognized as the very best director of what most people call POV (point of view) gonzo sex scenes. He has long been a presence in the industry at a wide variety of companies but his POV gonzo work has always seemed to be an upgrade from many of the generic producers available, the man also one of the most down to earth nice guys ever to hold a camera. His latest title to make it my way is called Mike John’s All-Star Overdose 2, a collection of ten lengthy scenes from his collection over the years, this time all in widescreen and offering up a super star cast of hotties such as Bobbi Starr, London Keyes, Asa Akira, Gracie Glam, and many others who provided a no holes barred attitude fans can appreciate. The compilation lasted over six hours and even the weakest scene provided some fine strokability and replay value. Here’s a very brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that obviously no condoms were used for those still interested:

I'm not exactly sure why a white on white scene was the opener for the movie but given her previous performances, I wasn't about to start complaining. He was fixing to leave the bed when she gave him an incentive to stick around (pun intended), sucking and jerking him off with tremendous enthusiasm. There was some 69, salad tossing, and straight to anal action as well, the choking and slapping giving the scene a rougher edge with the caveat that she appeared to enjoy herself. Summary: Mike John’s All-Star Overdose 2 by director Mike John for Jules Jordan Video was one of the very best compilations I have seen in some time, the volume of the excellent material matched by the quality enough to merit a rating of Highly Recommended or better. Feel free to read the above scene descriptions by myself and friends to make sure you haven’t already picked up some of the movies the scenes originally came from but you just can’t go wrong for hardcore, quality smut here. In short then, Mike John’s All-Star Overdose 2 was a wonderfully strokable bunch of nasty gonzo action scenes that even the most jaded of us should appreciate, the trip down memory lane reminding me of why I find Mike’s work so engaging so often so give this one a look if you want powerfully heated sex scenes in compilation form.
