In the modern era, the line between mainstream cinema and "adult" films has really become more and more blurry. Without the sex "Taken" could really stand on its own . At the very least it could stand as a decent B-thriller that's better than the usual softcore "Skinemax" late night fare.

One of my current favorites in the business, Stormy Daniels, stars and co-wrote the script. In addition to being extremely good at what she does best, and a pretty damn attractive gal, she's a real talent in this business. I happen to think she's most gifted as a comedic actress, but in a drama/thriller like Taken, she's great as well. My only real problem with the movie is that with a full-length features worth of plot smashed together with a full-length feature of hot sex, we get a movie that clocks in at over two hours. My one wish is that Wicked maybe took a cue from some of their competitors and had a "Sex" and "Feature" only option available.

I'm not going to get too into the plot of "Taken" as it is a thriller/mystery and I wouldn't want to give too much away, as the plot is pretty good. But essentially what we have here is a story of a woman whose fiancé disappears and how she deals with the aftermath. Nothing groundbreaking as far as twists and turns plot wise, but definitely something interesting and different for a modern adult feature.

This is a perfect Couples feature. The sex is very steamy, but nothing extreme and may be a little tame for some of the more hardened porn dogs out there. There's no girl/girl, no anal, no spitting, bondage or any more of the more gonzo type of sex that's crept into most aspects of adult film these days. Stormy's first scene in the movie isn't even full on sex. It's just a blowjob. But I promise you; it's probably the hottest blowjob you've seen in a long time. Stormy is in three of the six scenes in the movie, so if you're already a fan of her work, you should be pleased with this movie.

Picture and sound quality is about as good as it gets for a low budget adult feature, like you'd expect from a company like Wicked. There's a great making of feature, as well as the usual trailers and Wicked Extras on the disc.

Again, this movie isn't the greatest adult film I've ever seen, but it's successful. I'd highly recommend this to couples or to guys who are trying to test the porn waters with a girlfriend. RECOMMENDED.
