Extra's: The best extra was the 19 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. I really liked this one since it gave each of the female cast some quality time. The other extras included trailers, a photogallery, and a double sided DVD cover (which was just a catalog of back titles).

Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, as originally shot. There wasn't a lot of grain or video noise but the colors were somewhat more saturated than they should have been in some scenes, something attributable to the lighting being off. Some might also complain that the camera angles weren't optimal but I would argue that they were simply slightly different, and made it more difficult to light some of the gyno-cams that the raincoaters might have preferred. The audio was presented in the typical stereo English but aside from some minor music at the beginning of the scenes and moans that the performers made during the shoot, it was about what I'd expect of a gonzo release.

Body of Review: Platinum X Pictures is something of an anomaly. The company is an offshoot of sorts from Red Light District, having been at least partially financed by the efforts of the well known gonzo company and having much of the same talent, but a slightly different view of the porn fans like to watch. For the most part, RLD sticks with a very specific formula that has worked for them and Platinum X Pictures seems to have more of an edge, whether from Brandon Iron's kinky movies or Jewel De'Nyle's raw sexuality. Such a diverse selection of directors also keeps their work from getting stale which is why I was more than happy to check out their latest release, Perversions. The movie had all the circus act gonzo sex you could hope for (and then some) as well as a cast of talented women to provide some kink with your kicks. If you're in the market for something a bit edgier than you'd find at Red Light District, but at a fair price, read the following breakdown of the scenes by cast:

Scene One: Ariana, looking better than I've seen in just about anything else so far (she's the gal on the front DVD cover), had a moment of tease and exposition where she showed off why so many fans like her, before she smoked a cigar and was joined by Steve and John by a fireplace. The music overrode the vocals at this point and they spend a few minutes warming her up before taking it to the couch (which was when the music died too). She blew them and then started riding one while blowing the other. Initially, the sex was just in her pussy but soon enough, the anal kicked in and then the DP. They spanked her and had her taste herself off their dicks. The circus act continued when she took a double anal (DAP) and then swallowed both of their loads. She still isn't my favorite performer but in terms of energy and heat, she did a fine job here, showing that she enjoyed the action a lot.

Scene Two: Jackie, a gal with a round ass, Hypnotic, a Black gal with kicking curves, and Jada, another Black gal that seemed to like pussy as much as dick, took on Manuel, Steve, and Michael after some lesbian action to warm up to. It started off outside and moved onto the indoor couch with the gals doing their best to get wet and warm for the guys. Lots of oral filled the early part of this scene but once the guys came into view, everyone paired off for the most part. After tons of straight sex, the anal began, with some really hardcore bonage taking place. Jackie seemed most at home with this and for a perverse kick, the gals got to rim the guys as well as taste themselves off the men's members. There were assorted other sex acts, including DP's and DAP to name a few, before it ended with the guys jerking off as the ladies lined up on their knees. The energy levels varied quite a bit here but overall, it wasn't bad.

Scene Three: Gia, the lean brunette hotty that has been in many movies lately, Sara, a gal that looks a bit like a new-wave singer or Goth chick, and Manuel, had a scene after the gals warmed up together. They were wearing sexy lingerie and didn't seem to even notice the camera rolling as they got it on together. When Manuel joined them, they rushed to suck his penis as if it were candy, proving that they preferred the meat to the vegetable snack they started on. When both gals double-teamed him orally though, it was fun to watch although his straight sex as Gia ate her friend (and him) out was neat too. Gia took the first anal after Sara's pussy boning and the ATM was better than the PTM here. He popped off on his back to Gia's crotch and Sara's mouth, something that was a bit different, and they fought some more over it after that.

Scene Four: Jewel, one of the most unabashedly strong female legends of porn these days, and veteran stud Steve, had a scene on a bed after he woke her up. Like waking a sleeping tiger, he found she soon became sexually charged and ready for action, something that appeared to excite him all the more. Whatever else her critics can say about her, she seems to be able to enjoy sex in all it's diversity (or is that perversity?) and she became wet as he went down on her lovely pussy and ass. From the erect nipples to the flush face and screaming, she always has a good time on camera and when it was his turn, she showed him her appreciation in fine form. To sum up her oral skills, she could suck-start a Harley and few in the jizz bizz can compete with her in this manner. They then boned vaginally and anally, with her getting plenty to taste off his penis. She claimed to orgasm several times during the sex and for what it's worth, I believed her authenticity. She's not a girl any more but those who've watched her know she proves beyond a doubt that a woman is better in bed than a kid could ever dream to be (kid being anyone barely old enough to make movies legally, of course). She met every thrust of his with gusto and her playfulness never quit, making this the best scene of the batch. My only curiosity came when he popped off on her feet, something I don't care much about but fans seem to prefer a facial so it struck me as funny.

Summary: Perversions is worth a rating of at least Recommended for those that like seeing some of the most dangerous, kinky sex available on a domestic release. The performers all seemed to know their jobs and most of them excelled at what they did. Jewel, for example, showed the world that she still had the ability to mesmerize an audience with her good looks and raw energy that combined to make her quite an act. I'm glad that she's still performing since her line of movies as director seem to be so solid as well. If you enjoy gonzo sex, you're likely to enjoy this at least as much as movies coming from companies that charge far more, giving you a lot of fuck for your buck.
