Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the industry standard 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, as originally shot. The picture suffered from grain in almost every scene and the lighting was off too but a number of decent (for the price anyway) scenes were also present. The video noise and compression artifacts were also troublesome but putting so much material on a single DVD has that effect. The audio was presented in what appeared to be monaural English although my receiver read it as stereo. There was no separation between the channels and most of the vocals were hollow. The music was standard run of the mill porn too but no one buys a porno for the music these days.

Body of Review: Compilations are certainly a mixed bag these days. With many large companies taking advantage of the consumers desire to get a lot of fuck for the buck, I'm seeing more of them pop up for sale both locally and in various internet retailers specials. The quality of such releases varies tremendously, with some companies putting them out with themes (blondes, anal sex, a particular performer, etc.) and others just putting out a seemingly random collection of scenes in order to hope they can make a buck. In the latest compilation from the folks at Cherry Boxxx, Sweet Cherries, the company obviously went into a lengthy back catalog since many of the performers haven't been making movies in a long time. I'm not going to provide a breakdown of the scenes since the company didn't label them (nor did it provide any real credits) but here's a look at what this one had to offer:

So, in the compilation, there were seventeen scenes of varying length. Some scenes were fairly short masturbation scenes with the women using a large dildo after stripping for the camera and other scenes contained the usual male on female acts with oral and straight sex being the dominant theme. There was a lesbian scene near the beginning but this was the least common type of sex in the whole movie. All of the scenes took place in domestic settings, usually a house, on a couch or bed, or by a pool. The extravagance of the sets aside, it should be noted that a number of the performers have had big followings and if you want to see a diverse selection at a great price, this is a good place to start (Empire sells this one for under $8).

There were blondes, brunettes, and other hair colors here just as there were lean, curvy and middle of the road sized bodies. The warmth of the sex was a little on the light side, most of the gals looked to be average in terms of attractiveness, and their skills were rarely exceptional too but again, you get a lot of material for the money. I liked that there were some good solo scenes nearly as much as I liked seeing some favorites in positions I hadn't seen them in (at least for a while) and while I would've appreciated it if the movies the scenes came from (not to mention the cast names) had been listed, the price was right.

Summary: With technical flaws, a lack of extras, and the low budget nature of the show balanced out by the sheer number of scenes and the cast at hand, I'm going to rate this one as a Rent It to give my overall impression of the DVD. You can buy it for nearly as little as a rental so if you need a title to flesh out an order (and get free shipping), you could do worse. If that seems like slight or backhanded praise, it really isn't since this is the type of disposable porn a lot of you enjoy.
