Extra's: The best extra by most standards would be the 14+ minute long bonus scene between Courtney Devine and Mr. Pete on a bench in a hilly mountainside spot. It had all the usual action, including anal for fans of backdoor bouncing, and was pretty good as it ended with a facial. Personally, I enjoyed the 28+ minute long Behind the Scenes feature more since it gave a lot of the cast and crew a chance to shine both in and out of the sexual liaisons they had for the movie. There was also a pop shot compilation from the scenes, some trailers, a photogallery, and a double sided DVD cover but the first two extras mentioned were easily the only ones worth going into.

Audio/Video Quality: Gold Label: The Erotic Blendwas presented in the same 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by director Antonio Del Toro for Damaged Productions/High Rise. The colors were somewhat deeper than average in several scenes and there was some noticeable compression artifacts that interfered with the picture but aside from some lighting issues causing grain and not allowing the viewer to fully appreciate the cast, it wasn't too bad. For the most part, there was a lot of variation in terms of picture quality, making me think that a lot of it was due to trying to please an audience looking for softer porn that I generally like. The stereo audio track was about average in terms of the vocals and droning music; allowing me to hear everything going on.

Body of Review: Damaged Productions has now entered the porn scene with a variety of released geared towards several different market niches. While I can't say that I'm currently their biggest fan, I can say that there shines a glimmer of hope for the company given some of the material they have released and the relatively minor issues I've noticed on their DVDs (in short, they should be able to easily fix the problems rather than feel the need to scrap their current lines altogether). Their latest release is Gold Label: The Erotic Blend, a series of five vignettes that were not big on acting or plot, only on women having sex. It wasn't a bad little set of scenes either although it did seem kind of limiting given the cast they had to work with. That said, here's a look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were wasted in the making of this movie:

Scene One: Dominica Leoni, a hot brunette wearing a black top and blue jean shorts was first up as she languished in a jail cell before Joey Ray opened her cage to give her some fun. She jerked him off as she blew him but it was the way she rode him vaginally that gave me pause. She did most of the work and displayed a lot of energy as she bounced in his lap, tasting his penis between positions. She wasn't quite as sexually aggressive when he tapped her ass, but she did some ATM before offering her booty up for another round of slamming. It ended when he gave her a facial and she left him in the jail cell. Yum!

Scene Two: Monique Alexander, the latest contract gal at Vivid, was up next in a lesbian scene with Boo Delicious, a dark haired cutie worth a look herself, as the two were studying inside a home. They did the usual licking before stripping off their clothes to provide the camera with a better view of their assets. Both had that all natural look that fans are clamoring for these days and their playfully gentle manner was pleasing, to say the least. Some of the lighting wasn't optimal however, and the shadows weakened the heat for me more than a little bit, even if only for a moment. After the oral, they used a pink plastic double headed dildo to get one another off (doing some PTM for good measure) but overall, it wasn't the best scene of the bunch.

Scene Three: Bamboo, a tiny Asian gal with bleached blonde hair, and skinny Mya Mason, were up next in a game room scene with Mr. Pete. It began with some nice lesbian antics as the gals licked one another clean in their lingerie but got much more interesting when Pete took control. The trio went to a couch where the gals shared his meat as though they'd done this before and after they warmed him up, the screwing took place. The gals were energetic as they bounced in his lap and it wasn't until the anal, starting with Bamboo of course, that they slowed down by any significant measure. I'm not really a fan of these two gals but it was a decent scene nonetheless.

Scene Four: Ashley Long, playing a blonde stripper in a dive of a club, wore a red PVC outfit and matching stockings as she showed Nick Manning her body extra close. He removed her panties and went down on her while she was still on stage and she liked it enough to reciprocate with some deep throating action. As she gave him a sloppy blowjob, he started in with the heat-diminishing dirty talk but I solved that by turning down the audio track (the music was droning too) and she rode him with some passion while still on stage. The sex included none of the expected anal and it was slower than I've seen her in the past, but it wasn't a bad scene in most ways.

Scene Five: Krystal Summers, a large breasted blonde that wasn't Krystal Steal as reported online at other websites, had the final scene with Ben English after he called her to tell her he was running late. She had prepared a special surprise for him and was waiting in purple lingerie with candles lit to illuminate his libido. I hated her implants but she was pretty good at oral sex so I momentarily forgave her as she gave some solid oral action to his meat. They then moved from the kitchen to the couch for some boning action in her tight pussy but it appeared to be a mechanical romp and even her PTM action couldn't save it in my book. He did most of the work and the facial didn't do much for me.

Summary: Gold Label: The Erotic Blend wasn't full of circus act sex or the kind of erotic material you rarely see in porn these days; preferring to stay somewhere in the middle of each type of action. As such, it ran the risk of failing to make either audience happy and that was perhaps its biggest failing, trying to be everything to all people. If you like the cast presented, it will be worth a rating of at least a Rent It but there simply wasn't a lot for me to sink my teeth into and the porn content of the movie itself was about the equivalent of a couple of beers when you're in the mood for a shot with a chaser. In short, Gold Label: The Erotic Blend was not erotic enough, nor was it as good as gold, to qualify for the title given. With some work though, I suspect it might be something worth checking out as a series, but only if the pornmeister in charge of Damaged Productions is as talented as I've heard.
