Extra's: At first glance, their didn't appear to be many extras. There was a section of Behind the Scenes footage lasting about nine minutes with most of the gals smoking cigarettes and goofing off, some minor filmographies, an appreciated cast list and a photogallery. On closer inspection though, there was also a lengthy bonus scene described below. Scenes made solely for a particular release are always welcome additions to a DVD and the ratings will reflect that fact. Evil Angel is great about including such features as a regular event, not recycling older scenes from past shows as most companies do.

Audio/Video Quality: Hellcats 5 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, as most porn is shot these days. Like many of Joey's other releases, the lighting was slightly off, causing some minor issues with color over saturation and grain but it still looked pretty good and the heated performances kept me from noticing the minor details most of the time; always a good sign that a movie's raw energy is great. The audio was presented in the usual stereo English but the separation between the channels and the dynamic range were limited so I can't say that the audio was a feature that added a lot of value to the show.

Body of Review: Joey Silvera is currently one of the more under rated directors in porn, possibly as a result of his tranny movies but maybe just because he's in such good company. Whatever the case, movies like Hellcats 4 have long established his ability behind the camera, even if his technical expertise is sometimes limited to the way he presents gals rather than the picture and audio of his shows. His latest movie, Hellcats 5: The Drive, is another feather in his cap as it had a plethora of pussy that most directors couldn't muster with twice the dough. If you like the type of gonzo Mr. Silvera provides, from the variety of scenes to the contrast of the women, you'll likely be happy with this one too but here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and actions for you just the same:

Scene One: Judy, the attractive blonde seen on the lower right hand side of the front DVD cover, began the show by teasing the camera and showing off her lovely breast and sweetly rounded ass before letting Falcon play with her for a moment or two on the beach. After they appeared to get caught, the picture faded out, only to return to a bedroom where she teased some more before getting it on with him and Fabio (who passed away shortly after this scene was made). There was a lot of oral, vaginal and anal sex here with her moaning in her native language as they screwed her energetically. She appeared to get off on the action more than once and that made it a good scene, if not really good, to watch several times. Fans of circus act sex will undoubtedly enjoy the DAP (double anal) but it would've been just fine without it too.

Scene Two: Lola, the brunette porn hotty displayed on the upper right hand corner of the front DVD cover, began the show by smoking a cigarette before she was joined by blonde Brit Holly, on display on the lower left hand corner of the front cover. Both gals have a tremendous appeal and although I've been a fan of Lola's for years, Holly's green eyes alone gave me a chubby. The two made out for a bit before being joined by Nat and the scene got even better as it progressed. The oral was great, from the blowjob to the rimming, to the ATM. The vaginal and Holly's anal were great too. I'm not going to spend an hour detailing the actions; suffice it to say that they were all terrific!

Scene Three: Cassidy, in her first scene, started the scene swimming in a pool (it was claimed she competes at the collegiate level). She's located in the middle of the bottom of the front DVD cover and still has some of her baby fat on her body for fans of that look. After changing into a porn waitress outfit, complete with fishnet stockings, she had a tease sequence before the full action with both Rick and Anthony. Her ass also looked ready for plundering and her eyes were as clear as anyone else's in the show, something that really worked for me. They went from the stairs to the downstairs couch and the sex was pretty good for a first timer. The oral wasn't all that good but the vaginal, anal and DP managed to show her future potential nicely. She didn't show any chemistry but her energy levels were very high.

Scene Four: Sammie, another attractive blonde, was located on the upper middle of the top front DVD cover beside similarly positioned Desire, looked young and fresh in her fishnet top and PVC skirt. Desire was leaner but each had their own appeal. Brett joined the two and the scene was less filled with chemistry than I'd have preferred but it was fun nonetheless. Sammie has been becoming very popular of late and seeing her before she really took off was interesting (to say the least). Sammie was the better of the two gals sexually as well and the action managed to sustain a fair amount of heat with energy. It was oral and vaginally only but was a good scene.

Scene Five: Svetlana, the blonde on the upper left hand side of the front DVD cover, had her first scene here and the 23 year old Russian gal managed to start off with an interracial scene with Nat. Other than needing a nose job, she was attractive; having bright eyes, an all natural body, and a lean figure. While Nat's not the biggest porn stud going (far from it actually), she seemed pleased with it and gave some decent head before riding him vaginally and anally. She handled the vaginal sex far better than the anal but this can be expected of a newbie. I think she showed potential but the scene lost passion after the anal started.

Bonus Scene: Christie, a cute gal with light brown hair and Asian Kemmy, were up next after some tease footage. They had a tiny picture on the left side of the front DVD cover but Christie was the lead of the action, sucking off Sascha in the automotive repair shop. Kemmy did anal but looked like she was giving birth so it didn't work for me when she was up at bat, even with the ATM action she engaged in. In all, as much as I liked Christie here, it was easy to see why this was the bonus scene and not originally included in the release.

Summary: Hellcats 5 wasn't quite as consistent as previous volumes but it had so much fuck for the buck and such a solid cast in most cases that a rating of anything less than Highly Recommended would be wrong. I'd like Joey to focus more on his technical aspects in the future but only if it doesn't come at the expense of the heat many of his performers put into their acts. His versatility as a director should surprise no one that has watched him evolve over the years but it's still good to see such hard work rewarded and earning a spot at Evil Angel as a contract director shows that merit still has a place in this world.
