Extra's: There were some excellent extras included on the DVD, starting with nearly 21 minutes of striptease footage by the gals. Some of them were better than others but the end result was that plenty of them were worth watching repeatedly here. This extra was followed by a set of six (one for each gal) photoshoots but each of them was very short in length, typically lasting well under 30 seconds apiece. There was then a cumshot recap from the scenes and a photogallery but the best was saved for last with a great 25.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Juan Cuba. There were some compression artifacts but they seemed to fade away as the show progressed, allowing me to appreciate the gals all the more in the main movie (especially Tiffany Rayne). Taken as a whole, the extras were a nice addition to the movie in terms of adding value.

Audio/Video Quality: Ass Attack 2 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by director Manuel Ferrara for distribution by Red Light District. The lighting was decent but there were some issues with shimmer on fishnets, minor compression artifacts, and shadows on occasion. In all, the technical qualities weren't the worst part about the movie although I've come to expect more from RLD movies over the last couple of years (maybe they're using a new DVD mastering company). The composition of the shots was as good as Manuel usually offers though, since he focuses on the angles that enhance the looks of the gals whenever possible. The 2.0 Dolby Digital audio was another mixed bad with the levels bouncing around and cutting out with some minor distortion whenever the vocals elevated too quickly but the cast could be heard fairly well so I'm not fussing as much about that aspect of the show.

Body of Review: Manuel Ferrara is a man on the move. His award winning movies were more than a little well received at the recent AEE show and the guy has to have been born under a lucky star given his success in the genetic lottery but his directing abilities seem more the result of hard work than luck so I'm always happy to see what he has to offer. His latest release is a title called Ass Attack 2, an anal themed show with a cast of appealing gals not known for their back door antics. While not his best work, fans of the cast will like it and perhaps he'll kick it up a notch now that he's moved to another company. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used in the scenes:

Scene One: Annie Cruz, a lean little gal with what initially appeared to be a very toned ass, teased the camera as she tried to spank herself for the camera. I wasn't fond of her faded blemishes but having seen her in action, I know that she gives a great performance so I figured she'd be a safe bet to start off the movie. Her partner for the scene was Michael Stefano and she seemed to enjoy his attention after masturbating a little to ready herself for the action. He went right to munching on her ass, fingering it for good effect, before boning her anal passage as though they were old pals. The two did some vaginal as well as taste testing but in terms of returning his thrusts, she stuck more with vocal enthusiasm as he did the work. The scene ended when he rubbed out a load to her awaiting mouth, swallowing some to help save the day.

Scene Two: Mika Tan, dressed in a black fetish outfit that enhanced her curves and lovely little China Doll appearance, was up next with director Manuel Ferrara after she teased the camera in a heated manner. Her ability to grind her ass was cool and she sure wasn't shy as she gave a nice visual show. Her masturbation sequence had her using toys to stretch out her ass, tasting them along the way, before sucking him off like the seasoned champion she was. He returned the oral favor a bit as she jerked him off but the taste was too good for her to leave his shaft alone until it was time for some pussy plunging fun. This led, of course, to the anal but the strength of her act was more in terms of how much she seemed to like him on a personal level, going further than she might have with another guy. There was lots of dirty talk and taste tasting (ATM mostly) but it ended without a visible pop shot.

Scene Three: Lean Stevenson, a curvy brunette with an all natural body, began the scene without the benefit of any clothing as her lengthy mane of hair hit her ass while partner Erik Everhard watched from the couch. The tease was minimal and he went right to boning her pussy, acting as though it were far tighter than usual on the living room couch. She wasn't very expressive as he went about plugging her, making little moaning sounds but keeping otherwise quiet, providing a mouth to suck him clean as the action kept on. He essentially instructed her through the action and while she was compliant, it simply didn't work for me nearly as well as if it could have had she actively participated. She has a lot of potential given her looks and body but even her anal wasn't overly satisfying. It ended with the pop shot to her mouth but I hope future performances are more enthusiastic than this one was (even her swallowing didn't do a lot for me since it came off as forced).

Scene Four: Mary Ann, a cute little blonde with a skinny body who looked like she was barely of age to perform, really isn't my type but I'm almost surprised she didn't score the front cover given how perky she looked here. Her partner for the scene was Michael Stefano who was introduced by Manuel at the computer as he watched the trailer to Mind Fuck on the RLD website. Michael was easily pulled away from the computer to play with Mary on the couch, putting her through the paces about as well as he usually does; kissing and sucking on her genitalia before he started hammering away at her pussy. The sex included all the usual antics of taste testing and anal, but like most of the others, she wasn't actively participating (perhaps due to the size of the meat or her own inexperience) and that lowered the value of what she could have brought to the show. I did get the impression that she liked him but the two were not in the same league in terms of performing so your mileage may vary but he did jerk out a large load and she didn't shy away, even if she wasn't a swallowing queen.

Scene Five: Kaiya Lynn, another Asian with a lean little body but a decent ass (at least when it was bent over), claimed to be doing her first anal with Manuel Ferrara because she liked him. Her black shorts and fishnet pantyhose looked good on her, even if they drove the screen crazy (the fishnets caused shimmering problems in every scene they were in), but he was far more interested in snacking on her crack than anything else going on. They did several positions of vaginal and anal sex with oral as an afterthought but she seemed unable to handle his size, forcing him to do all the work. This pattern was driving me crazy since it's not the case in most RLD or Manuel movies but fans of gals taking on more than they can handle will probably go nuts for it.

Scene Six: Tiffany Rayne, the foxy young hotty on the front DVD cover, was up last in a scene that saved the movie for me in many ways. She had a skimpy outfit on and far too much make up but the appeal of this gal was undeniable to say the least. Her curvy ass and all natural body exceeded my needs by a wide margin and I could see why Manuel almost sent Michael Stefano home so he could get a crack at her himself. The action followed the formula well enough with him sucking her ass in a short face sitting session that she seemed to love before he started into the vaginal sex with her. Her verbal comments and moans were great but at least initially, she wasn't at her best as she stayed still during his thrusts. They moved onto anal where she was a bit more active but he kept control of the action, sucking her ass at least as often as she did ATM. Towards the end of the scene though, she was pumping away like a crazy gal in her pussy and I thought she wanted to go home with him well before the pop shot to her mouth was swallowed down. Whew!

Summary: Ass Attack 2 was only worth a rating of Rent It to me and that was largely due to Tiffany's scene. The gals were pleasing enough to look at but their sexual performances all seemed to lack energy and spontaneity, to the point where I was almost surprised who the director was and what company the scenes were shot for. Still, they all did anal and while there were some minor disappointments other than the lack of active participation by the gals in the scenes, the extras were solid and the technical values were fair (weaker than average for RLD but better than many gonzo companies). If you like the cast, check it out but don't forget that this is not in the same league as Manuel's better movies, leading me to think something went on behind the scenes to limit it.
