Audio/Video Quality: The Russians Are Cumming is presented in 1.33:1 full frame on DVD. The transfer overall looks very good, but has a few problems. Black levels are decent and the color looks bright and accurate. The picture has good contrast levels and the lighting is solid during the entire feature. One thing I noticed was around the left and right edges of the frame, the image would get blurry. It wasn't that distracting, but nevertheless was an issue. The transfer also had some compression problems, mainly with the drapes hanging behind the set. On the audio side of things, you have 2 soundtracks to choose from. First is a Dolby Digital 1.0 mono track that has background music during the film. The second is a Dolby Digital 1.0 mono track that removes the music. I'm slightly puzzled why these are only DD 1.0 tracks. They sound decent, but the volume levels are way to low.
