Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in 1.33:1 ratio full frame color. The lighting wasn't optimal so the picture had too much grain and the colors were over saturated at times. There was some bleeding and compression artifacts as well but otherwise it was watchable. The stereo audio track was fair except when the music wasn't appropriately adjusted.

Body of Review: Vivid makes a lot of feature porn these days, though not nearly as many as they do compilations, and they use the releases as showcases for their talented contract stars. In the case of Cake, the movie shows off the talents of the lovely black gal, Chelsea Sinclaire. If you're a fan of hers, you'll want to check out this dvd, if you don't like her, pass it up. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast:

Scene One: Brittany, the blonde bombshell, and Dale had a scene on a porn set. I thought it was funny when they said that Astro couldn't get an erection while surrounded by beautiful women (art imitates life, yes?) but eventually he does and the two go at it. A solid POV blowjob followed by some energetic fucking made this scene pretty warm.

Scene Two: Ann, a young gal with a lean body, and Marty, the illustrated man, had a scene on a couch behind a set. Both gave enthusiastic head before another energetic boning, and she finished him off with a handjob. Yum!

Scene Three: Chelsea, an attractive black gal with light skintone, and Eric, had a scene on a couch. Moderately playful sex with fair amounts of oral before the straight penetration. Fair.

Scene Four: April, a cutie that likes men and women, and Chelsea, had some lesbo love together. Except that the lighting was poor, the scene was pretty good and used toys a bit.

Scene Five: Chelsea, in yet another scene, took on Rafe on a bed. I thought they were going through the motions a bit too much here and the heat was minimal. It wasn't horrible, just not as good as the other scenes here. The scene was intercut with April's scene (that followed) which may be why it suffered too.

Scene Six: April, in a scene that was edited into the last scene, had a solo experience. I liked this one but wished it wasn't cut into the other. Warm!

Summary: I liked some of the sex here enough to rate it a Recommended but the limitations of the release kept me from thinking of it as a keeper. Chelsea was, interestingly enough, the weakest performer of the show so fans will overlook that far more readily than I could. Not a bad release though so if you like the cast, check it out.
