Extra's: There were a number of great extras on this DVD. 3 trailers, a 3 minute behind the scenes documentary short, deleted scenes from DMJ 3, 5, and 6 (with Antonio giving a brief rundown of the scenes), 1 minute interview with Vicca and Nikita, 2.5 minute Stacy Valentine interview, 1.5 minute photo gallery, and 5 cast biographies that linked directly to their sex scenes made up the bulk of the extras on the DVD and they were pretty good all by themselves but the best one for me was the full length commentary by Tina Tyler and Stacy Valentine. Each gal contributed something different and while I think a whole lot of fans still miss Stacy (she runs a talent agency I'm told), the true meat of the commentary was provided by Tina. Tina had long had to rely on her brains in porn since, let's face it; her look was something most guys really didn't go for. Most writers know that the appeal of someone who appeals to the brain (the so-called "largest sex organ") rather than the crotch is something not often found in porn.

Audio/Video Quality: DMJ 6 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as originally shot by director Antonio Passolini. The picture looked a bit soft rather than the harsher clarity of current gonzo material (likely to give the effect of airbrushing to enhance Tina and Stacy's looks) but the colors were accurate and the stylish attempts to present a different look should be commended. I saw some compression artifacts and video noise but they didn't intrude much during the scenes. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo with some attention paid to the music as well as the vocals. I think the separation between the channels was limited and the dynamic range less than I'd have liked but it certainly was ahead of its time when released so long ago.

Body of Review: VCA Pictures was once the home of a certain type of renaissance for the porn world. By using stylish directors and decent budgets, they were able to capture the attention of companies that have more recently eclipsed them in many ways, including Wicked Pictures, Digital Playground, and a few other feature producers. One of the best movies released in the company's heyday was The Devil In Miss Jones 6, a sequel of the long running story from the 1970's that related sexual activity to Satan and his minions. In this case, Satan was played by Goth girl Tina Tyler, in what amounted to her breakthrough role in many ways. Here's what I said so long ago about this beauty of a flick: "The premise of the movie revolves around Stacy having summoned two female demons (succubi played by Vicca and Nikita) from the pits of hell. They go around having sex with men and stealing their souls. Satan, aptly played by Tina, wants her favorite playthings back where they belong so Stacy teams up with her and the search is on. The movie had 9 sex scenes (not including the extra scenes in the bonus material section) which included straight, anal, multiple partner, lesbian, oral, toys, DP, fetish attire, fingering and condoms. The acting was better than most porn features since an effort was made to get performers who could act and a director that can direct. For you raincoaters out there, your remote control can be kept handy but at least watch the movie since it had a number of funny jokes and poked fun at the industry more than a few times."

Scene One: The first scene was played by Anita with J.J. and Ian(?) inside a trailer home. With her husband having left for his job at the slaughterhouse, she decides it's time to play. The scene is fairly hot and includes her getting a DP with a semen shower.

Scene Two: The next scene had sexually frustrated Stacy dressed as Little Red Riding Hood in a dream sequence with Steve. The two made a lovely pair and displayed lots of heat. Fans of Stacy that haven't obtained this DVD yet need to hop online and do so quickly. She had been in a number of lousy releases that cost almost the same as this one and this DVD was one of the best performances of her career.

Scene Three: We then jump to Randy getting worked over by the two demons, Nikita and
Vicca. Those of you who like fetish clothing are going to love them considering that they wore these outfits throughout the entire movie. The two ladies were lean, mean, sex machines and it's easy to see why VCA imported them from Europe. I wonder what happened to these two as they really tore up the screen back in the 1990's.

Scene Four: The fourth scene had Stacy and your typical Hollywood style producer played by Michael. He acted just like the stereotypical asshole known by everyone who makes lots of promises from his casting couch (or, in this case, casting lounge chair by the pool). This scene was shot outdoors and looked clearer than any of the others presented. Antonio used a sort of motion delay photography which is not bad considering he uses it sparingly.

Scene Five: We then go back to Hell where Lacy and Peris were playing with each other by Tina's throne at her feet. They displayed a lot of sexual energy and if you like woman/woman scenes, you'll be very happy here with their lipstick lesbian act.

Scene Six: The sixth scene has us looking at a bizarre wrestling match with Tina, Stacy, and two masked wrestler men. The ladies were as hot as ever and you know that they are in charge. Regardless, everyone wins with this scene as do those of us watching it.

Scene Seven: The seventh scene had a Hollywood star bigshot, played by Chris, picking up one of the succubi-Nikita(?) and going back to his place for some bondage sex. They were joined by a nurse costume attired Juli and we see Chris thinking he'll be in charge. Needless to say, he finds out what we all knew-women are in charge in this world as much as they are in charge of Hell. They put a dildo on his face and made him please them. Eventually, he gets in on some hot action as well which included a technical DP on Juli.

Scene Eight: The next scene had me watching a threesome with our two resident demons and Kyle who plays a plumber. He gets to plumb the depths of their depravity for our enjoyment and the scene will have you inspecting your own pipes before long.

Scene Nine: The last sex scene was between Stacy and Randy after the demons have been banished back to Hell. It appears that she picked up a few pointers from Tina and was sporting a new fetish look that guarantee's his involvement this time (he passed up a chance early on in the film to have her-the dope). It was just another wonderful sex scene with Stacy.

Summary: This movie was hot in so many ways. I remember discussing it with the director and Tina has talked about it as well so I got it many of the insider jokes. I know we all hear many wonderful things about porn movies only to find it's usually hype. This time, the advertising, the word of mouth, the awards, and the entire buzz about the movie was true. You get good looking women in a variety of scenarios designed to arouse you. You get a stylish look that's more than just some meth-head director pointing a camera in the general direction of the cast. You get more extra's than almost every other porn dvd (and mainstream dvd as well) made to that point in time with a quality rarely touched. What more could you want for the price of admission? To be honest, you really can't go wrong if you like women having hot, nasty sex. VCA spent some time and energy on this release and it shows. Aside from a few minor concerns about the soft focus of the movie at times, this one is as much a keeper as you'll find. I remember watching the first 2 of the series back about 22 years ago. Further, I remember watching the third and fourth episodes back about 15 years ago. You will remember watching this movie long after you've forgotten most of the throwaway trash that is called porn these days. I'm going to rate this one as Highly Recommended for all the reasons mentioned and more, check it out if you want to see a movie made when VCA was one of the industry powerhouses.

Note to VCA: Wow! What a great movie! Tina injected humor (with her over acting) as did Antonio with his many subtle (and some not so subtle) bits put in. I know that some of you won't get some of the references like "1313 Mockingbird Lane" (i.e.: The Munster's) but that's half the fun. This movie has staying power thanks to all the elements combined just right. I only wish the bean counters didn't strip your directors of the kind of resources needed to make this kind of feature once more.
