Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the adult industry standard of 1.33:1 ratio full frame color. Some of the scenes had major issues in terms of grain and a weak picture but others looked pretty solid compared to some material released recently. I hate grain and weak lighting so if the general consensus is that if I think it's okay, it generally looks pretty good. There were some artifacts due to compression and mosquito noise but that was minimal too. The audio was presented in the usual stereo with me selecting the English track (there were plenty of choices for languages and subtitles for the rest of you). It sounded about average for an older release by Private.

Body of Review: Private has been making pornography for years and as they continue to add new directors and series, they decided to also look into their back catalog to make fans of the DVD format happy. After all, the company has an awful lot of good porn that most of us can't see because the tapes are either out of print or in the PAL format (it won't work on most VHS players in the USA). With this in mind, the first release from their olden days is Private Triple X #1. The series is a video magazine of sorts with a number of scenes interspersed between some older behind the scenes features. The sex was very similar to what the company releases these days and if you like Private, read the following breakdowns of the scenes by original movie title, date of production, director and cast, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Report From Philippines: 2/95: D-Nic Cramer: This was a behind the scenes look at the filming of Arrowhead and Apocalypse Climax that is included as an extra on both of those DVD's (it's been awhile but that's how I remember it).

Scene Two: Gang Bang In Paris: 11/94: D-Peter Backman: Bernadette and Monikat, a couple of blondes from Private's past, took on Jack, Jean-Yves, and Mephisto after warming up a bit with one of the guys on a couch. The camera angles prevented me from confirming anything other than oral and straight sex but it was okay, given the many limitations of the picture and sound (due to age of the source material).

Scene Three: Fuck On Wood: 1/94: D-Pierre Woodman: Kirsten, a cutie wearing blue jean shorts and a sweater, took care of David, Frank, and Jean-Yves in a woodworking shop after she brought them lunch. I guess she was meant to be desert. There was a lot of oral, straight, anal and a DP for fans. It was actually a decent scene and didn't look nearly as limited as some of the others here did.

Scene Four: Report From Seychelles: 1/95: D-Pierre Woodman: This was a short behind the scenes report for a bunch of projects, including movies and magazines. I've seen it a few times before so it was nothing new to me but it wasn't bad either.

Scene Five: Kristy: 7/95: D-Pierre Woodman: Kristy, a hot looking blonde with great blue eyes, did both Bruno and Richard in a secluded area after meeting them on the beach at a shop. She was also very talented and took to the action like she was created for your pleasure in this scene that had oral, straight, anal and a DP before the ending facials.

Scene Six: Barracuda Bar: 12/94: D-Frank Thring: Aniko, a curious looking blonde, David, and Yves, had a scene at a bar located on the beach. She did oral, straight and anal with a DP but the sex was very mechanical in nature and didn't work for me.

Scene Seven: Two In The Ass: 12/94: D-Frank Thring: Liza, a lean brunette, did David and Frank on a boat in a harbor. It was also okay but nothing special and included a DP with all the trimmings.

Summary: I like the long-running series from Private but freely admit that this was not the strongest volume to date. It had enough to merit a rating of Rent It with fans of the cast giving it higher marks but since I've seen the BTS features, there were almost no extras, and the costs was what their newer movies cost, this is the best I can do for it. Some of the ladies were really good looking and others were really skilled sexually but it wasn't common that the two combined in a scene.
