Extras: The first extra was a 17:44 minute long bonus scene between Penny Pax and Prince Yahshua from last year’s hit, The Newlywed Game XXX, as described below. Next was an 11:22 minute long Behind the Scenes feature came next, the cast and crew interviewed and seen goofing up at times. Then came a pop shot recap, some trailers, a photogallery, the usual Vivid extras and offer as well as spam.

Audio/Video Quality: The Dating Game XXX was presented in anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Hank Hoffman for Vivid Entertainment. Many familiar faces were credited for the production but I felt the one most responsible was none other than Axel Braun Jr (Eli Cross), the guy seen all over the BTS and listed as the director of photography. The camera work was solid and the lighting helped make this one stand out more than a little bit, the editing and color tones as accurate as expected. There was a company watermark on the lower right hand corner of the screen but it really did not catch my attention much. Of interest were some silly mini-commercials and the use of company archival footage at times, the movie on the short side but amusing in a similar way to the crew’s parody last year, even including a bonus scene from it. The aural components of the movie were equally well handled by Seth Cardigan as the vocals could be clearly heard, the score was exceptionally close to the original as I remember it, and the ambient noises fit in as well.

Body of Review: Hank Hoffman has provided some great BTS footage for Vivid Entertainment over the years, the man groomed as a director some years back. While he was only credited with around a dozen titles, he showed potential which is why I’m glad to announce his return at the helm with a parody called The Dating Game XXX. The original source material has been copied a number of times but the charm of the first series was always tough to beat. The original was a game show where singles would compete to go out with someone they couldn’t see, based on the answers to questions posed of them. It all seemed staged but was what passed for entertainment decades ago, the concept ripe for pornification. With babes like Anikka Albrite, Ash Hollywood, Bailey Blue, and Penny Pax on hand to engage in heated pairings, I admit to wanting to see this since it came out. The back cover described the movie like this: “It's just like The Dating Game, only Bachelor Number Two means he's doing anal! Welcome to the funniest spoof in game-show-porn history, with a behind the scenes, and on-camera look at freaky makeup artists, fetish-y contestants, and a host who can't stay out of a bachelorette's pants! The Dating Game, only from Vivid. Great date night movie...just make sure she's loose.” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Ash Hollywood, portraying a makeup girl, was up in the dressing room with contestant Penny Pax, a casual comment leading to an abrupt edit of Ash gobbling gash on Penny. Penny was sprawled out on the chair with her legs spread wide, her striped panties thrust aside so Ash could tongue the bald beaver and massage it with her fingers, their mutual chemistry and eye contact very solid. The lesbian outing then showed them reversing roles, both adoring each other’s feet but Penny going crazy rimming Ash’s bodacious booty as she fingered the blond babe. Scene Two: Anikka Albrite, the wonderfully curvy blond featured on the left side of the front cover, was up next as the sexually open contestant, the gal describing her dream date of being with rugged cowboy Tommy Gunn. She was dressed in tight shorts and a red plaid top in the desert location, her sweet ass straining the fabric as Tommy warmed her up. Summary: The Dating Game XXX by director Hank Hoffman (and Eli Cross) for Vivid Entertainment was the kind of silly, sappy parody that tends to work better than some of the reimagined parodies that merely copy key elements of an existing show or movie and add sex to. Yeah, it was short and I would have enjoyed lengthier sex scenes but the key elements that one would associate with the original were present without it looking like a total ripoff so I rated it a healthy Recommended. Of course it didn’t hurt to have some solid extras but the ladies cast made a big difference too, the inclusion of lovely Anikka Albrite, Bailey Blue, Ash Hollywood and Penny Pax certainly weighing in on the decision as well. Eli Cross worked his usual magic that wins awards for others every year and as much as I prefer his original works, he did well here too. In short, The Dating Game XXX was a true parody of the original television show that I, as an actual viewer of said show decades ago, can say reminded me of the goofy charm it had, all while offering up some heated sexual trysts and live porn worthy of your time so check it out.
