Audio/Video Quality: Epic Asses was presented in anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Danny Case for New Sensations, his first time I recall being credited to them. Those familiar with Danny’s work know how he likes using a lot of light which provides accurate flesh tones and clarity of picture, his framing of the ladies in their tease and sexual trysts very straightforward. He was assisted by Sid Knox on camera, the man another who has provided some very solid looking productions in the past, Sid also editing the four scenes. In terms of this specific title, the scenes looked good and the editing was competently handled, some portions of the tease montages rushed a little and an overall emphasis on close up footage most will either love or hate, but it looked almost as good as what I would expect out of Paul Woodcrest or Eddie Powell, the light company watermark on the lower right corner of the screen getting in the way a bit more (as if the cameramen did not compensate for it). The aural components were extremely limited in the Dolby Digital 2.0 offering, the music from the tease montages very basic and the relative lack of vocals during the four trysts not really giving me much to rate.

Body of Review: Danny Case has been a performer (as Pat Myne) turned director for what amounts to generations in porn, the man now apparently working for New Sensations with their latest title in for review, Epic Asses. Having watched thousands of beautiful ladies in porn over the years, I can honestly say that there have been some truly epic backsides to admire in the past 35 or so years I’ve been watching porn, only a handful of them currently working in porn today. That said, I knew I might have to adjust my expectations a little given the usual marketing hype but I found the four new scenes in this movie to be very fetching indeed, from AJ Applegate’s amazing heart shaped ass to Anikka Albrite’s oiled up mounds of flesh, to Maddy O’Reilly’s perky posterior, and Abby Cross’ generously proportioned rump. The ladies were largely paired with lesser talent, the prime exception being Mick Blue who has come a long way since starring in Big Wet Asses #1, largely a factor here because of the tremendous amount of chemistry he had with scene partner Anikka (also his real life partner by the way). The other guys were good performers but lacked the connection to their partner that could have elevated their scenes a notch but it was still well worth watching. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Anikka Albrite, the blond bombshell with the bootylicious butt seen on the upper right corner of the front cover, was up first with Mick Blue, the real life couple displaying the kind of chemistry I wish every scene had. I personally adore AJ Applegate and Anikka Albrite, find Maddy O’Reilly to be a delicious slice of heaven, and think Abby Cross was very sensual in her scene, the replay value and strokability enhanced by their presence in each case. While I wouldn’t say all of them had an “epic ass”, I would be remiss if I suggested any of them fell short of erection inducing, each ass worth all the attention a fan could provide. In short, Epic Asses was a solid entry point for Danny to come aboard one of the best production companies around, his body of work certainly suggesting he has what it takes to help them take the next step as they look for something other than family relation titles to stand out from the crowd, I just hope he is allowed to find males best suited to the ladies he so wisely picks.
