Extras: The best extra was the 5:38 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. It included some commentary as well as sexual clips from the movie, the production all too brief but a nice touch all the same. There was also a slide show and some trailers but that was all.

Audio/Video Quality: Exchange Student 3 was presented in a very crisp 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director James Avalon for Sweet Sinner. As a long time fan of his works, I’ve seen him upgrade a number of projects when brought in to “fix” things, his attention to detail and willingness to try new things certainly helping make this look the best it possibly could under current budget limitations. Kevin Moore and Matt Holder worked the cameras while Dizzy Cash & Max Spanktum handled lighting, “Phile Silva” taking care of the editing. The lighting was decent and the resulting visual elements showed it, the story elements and sexual trysts edited tightly to make this project stand out over past volumes in the series. The video bitrate varied a lot but never seemed to hinder the quality of the action, the end result sure to please anyone that even sort of liked the first two volumes of the series. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English, the aural landscape a bit standard but the music meshing with the clear vocals to enhance the sexual portions as well as the dramatic portion of the show.

Body of Review: James Avalon has been an award winning director for many years now, his works often upgrading studios into the limelight (many who dismissed Red Light District” as a gonzo-only producer sat up and took notice of them when James made four excellent features for them years ago). He is now working for Sweet Sinner, a company best known for their romantic features that emphasize story elements at least as well as sex, often providing something different than a formulaic, cookie cutter fuck flick. The first of his efforts for the company is called Exchange Student 3, a series growing in popularity of late, where a foreign student interacts with a white bread family with some heated results. The babes in the movie included sexy MILF Julia Ann, frisky Lily LaBeau, and attractive Angell Summers, the cast rounded out with the infamous Evan Stone (not mugging for the camera this time) and tattooed freak Chad Alva, each adding something to the mix with enough story to satisfy those wanting more than gonzo but also enough sex to provide some stroke value for the usual crowd as well.

Scene One: Julia Ann, a busty blond bombshell that has long proven talented sexually and in her acting, was up first with Evan Stone, the role one of the few I have seen with him not hamming it up a whole bunch. Scene Three: Angell Summers, the hotty featured on the front cover, was up next in the kitchen with Evan Stone, the natural desire for him to partake of her goods presented much better than the porn equivalent of a pizza boy delivering some extra sausage. They kissed and removed her blue robe, Evan savoring her tits as he sweet ass shook on the granite countertop. Like the other scenes, there was some attempt at genuine chemistry here, the scene working as such without all the circus act sex tricks so common in the industry these days.

Scene Four: Angell Summers, already drawn toward Chad Alva as a study buddy, was up last kissing him on the back porch. The couple kept kissing as they pawed each other into the bathroom, some awkward groping getting her boobs freed from their confining shirt and her fleshy ass positioned on the rim of the tub as he fingered her. That led to some power porking of her pussy, their eye contact making it clear there was some chemistry present. Summary: Exchange Student 3 by director James Avalon for Sweet Sinner was not a watershed moment in the history of the company since their previous efforts were already pretty good but it was an upgrade on technical and storytelling from what I have seen. Rather than rely on generic porn music to set the stage, some care was placed on aural elements, matched with believable characters in realistic situations, the kind of adult entertainment that works for a wider audience over the bulk of what I enjoy. As such, I felt it easily earned a rating of Recommended for me but those wanting to try something a bit more female friendly (or at least friendlier to folks that don’t watch hundreds of pornos each year; some of the women I know prefer imported smut so harsh it isn’t sold in the USA) should really get into the blending of story and sexual elements that mark the manner in which the director has long established is his forte. In short then, Exchange Student 3 isn’t going to be for everyone and my personal preference for parodies or big ass gonzo flicks aside, I really enjoyed what was offered in the four sex scenes here as well as the story portion of the movie so check it out if you’re in the market for the road less traveled.
