Extra's: The best extra for me was the 22.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. The sad fact was though; it was in French, the international language of surrender. Needless to say, my limited ability to speak the language derives from my lack of concern over a language that doesn't seem to be all that important these days (kidding!). It had a lot of fine looking gals from the movie but they were probably saying mean things about their fans rather than how much they orgasmed each time as most of these things offer. There was also a rap video lasting a bit over 4 minutes and some trailers with a double sided DVD cover.

Audio/Video Quality: Russian Institute: Lesson 1 was presented in non-anamorphic widescreen color with an aspect ratio of about 2.35:1, a ratio rarely used in porn these days. The colors were exceptionally crisp and accurate, the composition of the camera shots well done, and the only issue I had with the clarity had to do with the abundance of shadows that introduced lots of grain and some minor video noise. I saw no compression artifacts so that wasn't a factor for my screening of the movie. The audio was presented with numerous choices, the main one being a 5.1 Dolby Digital French track but I listened to the English dub, as weak as it was, and suffered through as best I could. The other audio choices were Spanish, German, Italian, Czech, and Polish with subtitles in Romanian, Portuguese, Russian (?) and another language that I wasn't familiar with. None of the audio tracks worked well for me, making me wish Marc Dorsel's production company would just leave out the speaking parts altogether.

Body of Review: I have long been a fan of Wicked Pictures and Marc Dorsel's distribution deal with the company leads me to believe he also appreciates their staying power. That said, Marc's company makes some of the most visually stunning porn in the world and only a few limitations tend to cause me grief regarding their movies. For the most part, their dubs stink, their inability to provide cast identities makes reviewing their works a pain in the ass, and the fact that their extras are virtually never in a language I can understand (like English or Spanish) limit their value to me. That said, their latest release on DVD is Russian Institute: Lesson 1, a story about gals in a boarding school that learn more about the art of sex than they do about anything else. With a little help from a friend of mine that knows cast identities better than I do on foreign performers, here's a look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that you can write to Wicked Pictures or Marc Dorsel if you have to be absolutely sure of cast identities:

Scene One: Cony Ferrara, an older looking bleach blonde (or was it a wig?) was up first with muscular Bob Terminator in a fancy car outside. I liked her lingerie and she wasn't a bad performer, proving experience can be a good thing in porn, as the two snacked on each other's private parts before some passionate screwing. There was also some anal action with ATM before the ending facial but she did her best work in the first half of the scene.

Scene Two: Sharka Blue, Crystal, Jasmin, Sharon Babe, and a couple of other gals had the first lesbian scene of the show at night in the darkened hallway on a table. It had some nice rubbing and sucking with a small black strap on dildo being deployed to get her off with. I found the split scene effect interesting here since it managed to look visually appealing but it wasn't consistently better than the other view so the gimmick didn't work out as well as it could have. Fans will note that there was vaginal and anal penetration here with some taste testing but the scene was kind of limited in so many ways that I didn't get into it all that much.

Scene Three: Angelina Crow, looking fit and fine with her dark hair, skinny body, and schoolgirl outfit on, took care of Lauro Giotto after they made it back to the dorm. The scene was mostly done on some stairs with oral, vaginal, and anal sex all being well represented here. It came off as slightly mechanical to me but at least she gave it the old schoolgirl try as she bounced up and down on his penis. It ended with some ATM and a large load to her lovely face for those who care.

Scene Four: Kathy Anderson and Tera Joy, a nice combination of hot gals (brunette and blondes look good together), had a night time scene in the communal bathroom with Thomas Stone that spent most of the time with the gals giving him head and toying with him in a passionate manner. Tera did the most this time, showing off the skills she learned earlier in her career with each gal wearing their hot little uniform. The ending anal sex was pretty darned good for me as was the little lesbian licking they engaged in. In all, for the limitations of the technical matters, it was well done and a credit to the director as much as the performers.

Scene Five: Sandra Shine, Sharka Blue, and Lara Stephens, were up next as they had a pillow fight in their room that eventually turned into a pretty fair lesbian scene. The lingerie they wore, the attitudes they displayed, and the smiles on their faces all added to my pleasure as they licked, sucked, rubbed, and kissed their way into my crotch. While not the best scene of the bunch, it was nice to watch and had some solid replay value, especially when the expensive glass dildo came into the scene. Yum!

Scene Six: Mya Diamond, Angelina Crow, Claudia Rossi, Titof, Sebastien Barrio, and Bob Terminator were up next in a little dorm room orgy set to droning music. The sex ran the usual gamut here with oral, vaginal and anal sex (with DP) and the usual bunch of pop shots. The cast seemed to have more chemistry than energy this time with the split screen getting in the way more than it did earlier. The sex was generally slower here so your mileage will vary according to how passionate you want to see the cast; something I rarely hear much about but felt obligated to mention. Fans may want to note that Sharka Blue jerked off Bruno SX in the hallway as they listened in on the orgy but that's all there was from those two.

Summary: Russian Institute: Lesson 1 had enough solid sex that I would have rated it higher than a Rent It if the extras had been in English, the cast identified, and if the scenes had more passion on a regular basis. The cast certainly looked good enough to eat but the various other issues that arose bugged me and I'm not going to kiss Marc's ass if his company is unwilling to fix long standing issues they've had since they started distributing titles over here. There was some nice fuck for the buck though so your mileage will vary as to how good the show will be for your tastes.
