Extra's: The best extra from Babes Behind Bars was the 10.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Kyle Kelly that showcased the cast and crew. There were some clips from the sex scenes and some comedic moments by the cast but it wasn't the best such feature I've seen from the company. The other extras included three photogalleries (only one from this movie) and three trailers. This is an area the JKP can put more of an emphasis on in future projects.

Audio/Video Quality: Babes Behind Bars was presented in the same 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was originally shot in by director Sky Blue for Jill Kelly Productions. The fleshtones were accurate and there wasn't a lot of grain but the lighting was a mixed bad as it added plenty of shadows that didn't work very well for the story (not to mention showing the crew as they shot the scenes). The composition of the shots wasn't bad in most cases but it managed to leave a lot to be desired when it came to enhancing the looks of the female cast members (showing large zits, chopping off heads and other body parts, and a host of other issues) as well as showing the crew as they recorded the scenes more than once. There were no compression artifacts or heavy video noise but the overall production looked somewhat more amateurish than I expected from such a seasoned director as the lovely Sky Blue. The stereo audio was presented in English and seemed kind of flat or hollow in most cases with generic music tossed in for good measure. There were numerous times when the editor didn't catch Sky directing the cast and that didn't help matters any.

Body of Review: I've been watching movies from Jill Kelly Productions since the company put out their first release. The initial idea for the company was to offer something different with high end technical values but that seems to have been long lost as accusations of mismanagement by company owners Jill Kelly and Bob F. come to light. Personally, I don't care if Bob used the company to pull off various schemes or provide himself with a plethora of pussy to play with as long as the movies were good. Sadly, a great many of the movies fell far short of the mark they set out for and Babes Behind Bars was just the latest train wreck in a long line of similar products released by JKP. The premise revolved around a character played by Nikki Benz who finds herself accused of a crime she didn't commit, stuck in jail while she awaited trial. One thing led to another and she eventually had sex with various people to further her efforts at a fair trial and the movie managed to drop the ball in almost every case. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and actions, noting that oral and straight sex with a touch of lipstick lesbian was all that took place here:

Scene One: Brandi Lyons, a skinny gal with reddish brown hair and an all natural body, was up first as she engulfed the member of Van Damage deep within her throat. She seemed suitably talented with oral and gave some of her usual energetic style as she slobbed that knob and he ate at the Y in return while she sat back and enjoyed his attentions. He then screwed her vaginally in a couple positions while licking her feet before orgasming in her mouth. There were issues with the crew here, from seeing them in the mirror and their shadows to hearing director Sky Blue give orders but it wasn't a bad scene.

Scene Two: Nikki Benz, the lead blonde showcased on the front DVD cover, decided that she needed the expert services of legal beagle Randy Spears but couldn't afford his unusually high rates. After a brief conference in a crummy little room, she offered him payment by means of sexual favor, a payment plan he seemed all too willing to accept. From slurping on her large implants to tasting the rest of her body, he seemed infatuated with the gal and gave her more pleasure than usual before she returned the favor with a decent blowjob and titty fuck. The actual vaginal sex was tame by comparison and he popped after a couple of positions. I hated seeing a nasty white head pimple on her thigh almost as much as I hated seeing her go through the motions in a fairly lifeless manner before he jerked out his load onto her lovely face.

Scene Three: Cindy Crawford, a very cute blonde, and Tyra Banxxx, a gal not unattractive herself, were up next in a scene that started out with some lesbian light action on Kyle Stone's desk and soon included the aging stud in on the action. Much of the scene was oral and once Kyle started hammering away at Cindy, it almost seemed as though Tyra took a break (staying in the scene but not doing much with Kyle; as though he had cooties or something). Cindy's dirty talk was nice but she didn't seem as comfortable here as usual and she was definitely in need of a crotch shave. Tyra eventually took him vaginally too but the scene appeared to be a filler for the most part.

Scene Four: Jenna Haze, the skinny brunette known for being a gonzo goddess when she started porn, showed why she has fallen out of favor by having a sole lesbian scene with Nikki Benz in the jail cell. Nikki appeared to be turned on while Jenna mechanically went through the motions here, doing the usual licking and rubbing of one another. Jenna was as cute as ever but without more energy, her lesbian act grows increasingly old and this scene will appeal mainly to her more recent fans that have never seen her in full form with a guy.

Scene Five: Angela Stone, another very cute blonde, dressed in a light blue dress while sitting on a comfy couch, took care of the massive Lee Stone after he gave her some oral loving with his tongue. She looked like she had sweat up a storm while he did so, with her dirty talk adding some measure of heat to the action. She then rode him with at least a modicum of energy, aggressively meeting his thrusts rather than lay back and take it like the other gals seemed to prefer doing. It ended with a facial and was the best scene of the movie in terms of energy, chemistry and sexual heat.

Summary: Babes Behind Bars was a movie I think most of you would rate as a Skip It. It's not like the cast was at their best, the cost was reasonable, or the production values were any better than the limited heat of the performers who tried to earn their checks as mechanically as possible; all of which made this a pain to watch. The best scene was okay but not up to par either so unless you're a huge fan of the cast, you'll want to pass this one up for the many better releases on the market (some of which come from Jill Kelly Productions).
