Extra's: The main disc started off with a forced phone sex advertisement that couldn't be advanced past so I thought I'd mention that initially. The saving grace of an extra was a full copy of the now out of print compilation, Fuck Sluts From Hell (dated 10/2001 but copyright dated 2004 from Filth Factory). It wasn't the best volume in the series but it was a full movie of scenes to enjoy lasting just under four hours and that makes it a great extra. The other decent extra was easily the 6 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. There were also some interviews and enough of a look at the shooting of the movie to give a feel for what took place on the set. In that sense, it was very well done and while that didn't make it as good an extra as some extra sex scenes with the cast, it was still a nice, though short, extra. There was also a slide show, some trailers to VCA and Hustler titles (8 altogether), and some spam to enjoy.

Audio/Video Quality: Punk Rock Pussy was presented in 1.85:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as originally shot by director Rick Davis for VCA Pictures. The lighting was fair, limiting the grain and video noise with little to complain about loudly in this sense. The composition of the shots tended to flatter the ladies a little bit but was uneven, using tricks that Rick probably picked up at Cherry Box and has picked up over his lengthy career as a cameraman and director (among other related jobs he's worked at). The punk rock scenario was rarely even mentioned and certainly not touched upon in any detail so the make up applied made the movie come across as a poor man's version of Alt-Porn; a genre that provides little stroke value to begin with. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 Dolby Digital English with little separation or dynamic range to speak of and the synthesized music was not punk rock in the broadest sense of the concept.

Body of Review: Rick Davis has directed a lot of movies and his recent efforts for VCA Pictures have almost all been ultra low budget titles that lacked much to comment on. I've seen some of his better work so I know he's acquainted with the basics needed to make a good movie but when he tries to do too much with too little, he often succumbs to the dreaded "in over the head" syndrome that shows contempt for the consumer. His latest movie in that vein is Punk Rock Pussy; a movie that was supposedly about the music but ended up a lot like a Kurt Lockwood directed movie; disengaging, weakly made, and ultimately filler material with the occasional sparkle thanks to the cast. Here's a look at the scenes that had me thinking much higher of the edited scenes from the enclosed compilation, noting that at least the main feature didn't use condoms:

Scene One: Samantha Sinn, a pasty white gal with an all natural body sporting a few extra pounds, was up first as she sat in a large wooden chair with a riding crop brandished in her hand. She had little of the true punk rock attitude and there was nothing in the scenario (modified pizza delivery scheme) to denote the concept as she took on both Sergio and Jay Ashley. They had some slightly rough sex as she sucked them off slowly, not really showing much skill but I'm sure it felt better than it look. The guys took turns boning her pussy and she was moderately active in a few positions (I liked the way her ass cheeks rippled), eventually taking both pop shots to her mouth before the scene ended. I had a bad feeling about the rest of the movie based on this scene; most of my concern centering on how low end it came across as.

Scene Two: Angel Long, a lanky but skilled blonde, and glasses wearing Veronica Stone, were up next with Talon in a bed. The fetishware the gals were sporting was okay and they spanked him with the riding crop but the domination theme was weak and Angel's dirty talk was the only thing keeping me watching at first. They sucked him off fairly well though, showing some energy as they shared his rod orally, moving to a pretty hardcore vaginal fuck with slobber, hair pulling, and even more dirty talk. I was surprised there wasn't anal here but fans of the aforementioned acts will find it to be a pretty good scene; ending when he whipped it out to spew on Veronica's glasses.

Scene Three: Logan James, the tiny gal gracing the front DVD cover, was up next with slightly taller Melissa Martinez, and muscular Buster Good, in the generic room. I met Logan a few months ago at the strip club she works at (small world, yes?) in Las Vegas, and I'll be the first to admit that men who want a tiny gal with a lean stripper's body and curves will find her really appealing in the confines of a club (her lap dances were reportedly good enough to leave men cleaning up in the rest room). The trio played as in the other scenes with the scenario being that they were all waiting for a dominatrix to see them, losing the punk rock theme far behind. It was the slowest scene to get going of the bunch and the basic sex acts were again oral and vaginal. There really wasn't anything here for me to like since the lack of chemistry, heat, and skill weakened it beyond redemption (I know Buster can do better and Logan's club act was far, far hotter by comparison). The ending pop shot went to Logan's mouth with Melissa sucking it out with a straw.

Scene Four: Jenaveve Jolie, my favorite hotty of the movie and best looker all around, was up next as a submissive to dominatrix Lexi Bardot, as she was punished for some sexually explicit stage work she had supposedly done the day before. Jenaveve looked great and the roughness was interesting since she was into it but as soon as they started getting interesting, they were joined by third tier mope squad member Cheyne Collins. His prime was passed long ago and as good as Jenaveve may be in so many ways, she couldn't compensate for both of them, with the same basic dynamic going on in this scene as the previous ones. In fairness to Lexi, she's made some really heated scenes lately too but like some of the other scenes of the movie; she simply didn't put forth the kind of effort needed to make the show enjoyable. It ended with a facial that the gals shared but it still was lame.

Scene Five: Nadia Nyce, the Belladonna look alike, was in her fetish outfit wanting to audition for the band as she snuck up on Van Damage while he swept the jail cell floor. Exactly how she snuck by him remained a mystery and he told her she'd need to audition, making the scenario increasingly lame as she was tested by the spotted wonder. He ate her on the cot and started boning her pussy and ass, with her eventually riding actively. This is a gal that has been nearly as hot as Bella in a number of scenes so I expect more from her then others and while she was competent, the scene failed on most levels to provide what I was believing would take place, finishing with the facial.

Summary: Punk Rock Pussy by director Rick Davis for VCA Pictures could be summed up in two letters (not words); P. U. I hate to sound negative but this is a company that was one of the leaders in early DVD porn and assembly line crud like this one really makes me wonder what was going on. The cast had enough potential to make the movie decent (I've seen most of them a number of times; even rubbed up on Logan in real life a couple of nights as I dropped dollars into her G string) and the concept should've been easy but someone got the fantastic idea that gothic make up and a few fetish outfits were the only thing needed. In short, if you really like anything about Punk Rock Pussy other then the second scene, you'll probably have a financial stake in it but otherwise, it was only worth a Skip It.
