Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the industry standard 1.33:1 ratio full frame color. While there was some grain at times, generally the picture was very crisp and clear with accurate fleshtones. The audio was presented in 5.1 Dolby Digital stereo surround English. My problem with the sound was that the artistic plan here was to go with the music rather than the vocals during the tease and sex sequences, which is a pain in the rear to me. I know this was designed for a softer core audience but perhaps in the future, a secondary audio track can be added that down plays the music somewhat.

Body of Review: Wicked Pictures is often considered the Cadillac of feature porn due to their larger than average budgets, hotter than average contract performers, talented directors and general attitude towards making "better" porn rather than making the "most" porn. This quality over quantity approach has served the company well in it's ten years of existence, with the sky being the limit for future endeavors. After all, this was the company that made Jenna Jameson, Serenity, Alexa Rae, and a host of others over the years (although some would argue the reverse is true). That said, the company has been expanding it's product lines in recent years to include attempts at gonzo and more couples friendly vignettes. One such release is Island Girls.

The movie is a series of tease sequences and lesbian sex scenes tied together by the premise that Sydnee Steele is a fashion photographer capturing the gals on film. The scenes were interspersed with interviews and comments by Sydnee and Director Brad Armstrong, with said comments done in widescreen format. Almost all the scenes had a similar feel with each gal bringing her own sexual appetite into the picture. The cast itself was full of hotties like Jessica Drake, Stormy, Sydnee herself, and Tanya Danielle (to name but a few-each woman here looked great!). Here's a quick breakdown of the scenes with many of them solo or tease and the rest lesbian couplings that all had some heat and chemistry, if not enough length to make me perfectly satisfied:

Scene One: Stormy, a beautiful blonde with a curvy body, had a tease sequence and then masturbation scene on the boat. Yum.

Scene Two: Tanya Danielle was next up in the tease department. She pranced around in a Captain's outfit and then did her best to turn the viewer on. It worked so I hope she's happy.

Scene Three: Tanya and Stormy got together on the boat. I could've watched them go at it for hours but I'm partial to these two so this is no surprise. There was a lot of licking and rubbing, as well as toy use, which was standard for the movie's scenes.

Scene Four: Kaylani Lei and Faith Adams with Sydnee Steele joining them in a threesome on the boat. Again, the gals did a good job.

Scene Five: Jessica Drake by a small stream. Ms. Drake has been in the porn world for a number of years and it's easy to see why she's so well liked. It's not just her attractive face and body, nor is it just her seething sexual warmth so much as the total package. Her husband, well known porn stud Evan Stone, is one lucky guy.

Scene Six: Teanna Kai in a lush tropical jungle. I've never been a fan of this young lady but this scene was a good primer for why I should be. It wasn't the best tease here but it'll make me take a closer look at her in the future.

Scene Seven:

Jessica Drake and Teanna Kai by the waterfall and on a swing. In all, this wasn't Jessica's best work but I liked it enough to watch it twice.

Scene Eight: Jessica Jaymes showed why she's an up and comer in the industry. I haven't seen a lot of her but this DVD was enough to add her to my "check her out" list.

Scene Nine: Kaylani Lei underneath a waterfall. In the spirit of the show, each gal was given a chance to shine by herself and then things progressed to a lesbian scene. Not bad.

Scene Ten: Jessica Jaymes and Kaylani Lei with Sydnee Steele by the waterfall/pool on the deck. Whew!

Scene Eleven: Stormy on the beach. Without sounding too sycophantic, I like this gal more each time I see her. For a jaded old porn hound like myself, this is a compliment of the highest order.

Scene Twelve: Angel Cassidy on the beach. I don't remember seeing her before this and now I'll have to look for her. Yum!

Scene Thirteen: Angel Cassidy and Stormy on the beach. Put together two gals you like having a lesbian scene with no parolee's hanging out and you have what amounts to magic.

Scene Fourteen: Nikki Loren on the beach. After all the major hotties before her, Nikki could've had the short end of the stick (pun intended) but she managed to keep me interested. I just wish her scene wasn't interrupted (a common complaint I had here). I really liked her eyes (to be fair, her body was hot too but the eyes really turned me on).

Scene Fifteen: Felecia, one of the best-known porn lesbians, had her chance to shine. I know some of the online reviewers at other websites routinely comment that she's past her prime but I have to disagree. She brings an intensity for this type of scene and in the following pairing, proves that an experienced gal can be better than a whole bunch of youngsters that don't like lesbian sex.

Scene Four: Nikki Lorena and Felecia on the beach with Sydnee Steele. Each brought something to the scene, which was interesting to watch. I didn't catch it on my first viewing but as I checked out the scene more often, it became apparent that these little vixens enjoyed the action as much as I did.

Summary: If you like lesbian antics and don't mind the limitations of the overbearing music track, you'll consider this one worth at least a rating of Recommended if not higher. I'd have boosted it up a bit if the music didn't get in the way and the scenes were longer but the photography and cast were exceptionally hot, making this a winner. Also, while I really wanted an audio commentary here, the All Access featurette was interesting and each gal got her own photogallery, which is rare in porn these days.
