Extra's: The best extra was the 14.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by the lovely Francesca Le. She interviewed a few of the ladies, apparently running out of room midstream on Sophie Dee, but providing insights in gals like Anell and showing some extra skin. There was a photogallery, a pop shot compilation, and a double sided DVD cover (only showing other covers though) but the BTS was clearly the best extra of the limited batch, by far.

Audio/Video Quality: Smothered N' Covered 2 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Mark Wood for Red Light District. The lighting was generally good and that helped keep the grain, video noise, and other flaws to a minimum. The fleshtones were accurate and the camera work was generally good with the composition of the shots enhancing the ladies' looks most of the time. There were no compression artifacts or significant shadows to contend with so I found the picture appealing (as will most people that like solid, flat, lighting as RLD is generally known for providing) and acknowledge both of the crew working the camera, Francesca and Mark (well, and Juan Cuba in at least one case), for doing a fine job. The audio was nothing special although encoded in 2.0 Dolby Digital English. The processing done in post production aside, the vocals were seemingly recorded in monaural and the music not a big factor so it wasn't a problem but it wasn't anything worth extra points either. In all, I wasn't surprised by the quality of the technical attributes of the movie but I wasn't expecting Mark to drop the ball either given the number of titles he has been making for various companies of late.

Body of Review: Mark Wood directs under a variety of names in porn, sticking with his usual name when working for Red Light District. On average, he seems to provide some decent material when he is focused on the task at hand but he gets easily distracted when around really hot women. Such was the case with Smothered N' Covered 2, a gonzo flick that was designed for fans of face sitting. To me, that means the gal sits on the guy's face while he is prone, not backs up on his so that he can escape; the heightened suffocation effect making it all the more real. Still, considering how round some of the asses here were, I was willing to cut him some slack. If you're still, interested, here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Tia Sweets, a curvy little gal with pretty eyes and fine DSLs, was up first as she teased in her jeans, lowering them to the close up camera that gave the viewer a look at her well used backside. Scene Three: Veronica Rayne, an older brunette with a few extra pounds on her frame that accentuated her fleshy ass, was up next in a fishnet bikini as Sascha swatted her ass and worshipped her front and back. She was an active vaginal rider and seemed to enjoy a cock pounding her hard but the overall heat of the scene was hampered by the way she overacted (he's not that well endowed). Summary: Smothered N' Covered 2 by director Mark Wood for Red Light District was worth a rating of Rent It to me although it almost made the next highest rating thanks to a couple of personal favorites in action. The ladies were a nice selection and most of the time, they at least tried to give passionate performances but there were some issues that popped up as described above. In short, while it was a lot of fun, Smothered N' Covered 2 was not the best work by Mark or the gals so check it out first before buying the DVD.
