Extras: There were some trailers and the advertised photogallery but the best extra was the lengthy, 40:40 minute long, hardcore laced Behind the Scenes feature starring the cast and crew. Joanna was again shown in charge of matters and unlike many "business is business" looks behind the curtain, they all seemed to be having a great time so it was well worth watching.

Audio/Video Quality: No Panties Allowed was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen as shot by director James Deen for Burning Angel, the guy joining the ranks of performers-turned-directors for a third time. The movie was encoded with the usual MPEG-2 and had a corresponding resolution of 480i, the video bitrate hovering around the 4.3Mbps mark whenever I spot checked it. There was some grain, video noise, and other visual issues that generally weren't enough to bug me too much, James even editing the production albeit showing a lot of rough edges in his final product. The lighting varied significantly and the camera shots relied too heavily on the single camera I believe was used for most (if not all) scenes, but the overall composition favored the ladies and their extensive tattoos, the "alt" sensibilities clearly emphasized once more. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English using a 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate. The vocals were very basic but the music was nicely done, the credits listing Theo and the Skyscrapers for the colorful music.

Body of Review: Joanna Angel is not your traditional porn beauty, her copious amounts of ink and edgy temperament displaying the kind of attitude she cultivates for her releases at Burning Angel. As such, I picked up a copy of No Panties Allowed to review as much to check in and see what they had going on as for the specific inked up ladies, all but Joanna fairly new to the game as it were in scenes that depicted the gals wearing clothes but no panties, the easy access attitude shining through for fans to enjoy. For those of you into "firsts", there was a scene of Skin doing her first boy/girl but again, the alt credibility seemed well served here for those that care. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Joanna Angel, the gal with multi-colored hair featured on the front cover, was up first as she showed her no panties look on a balcony. The oral was minimal after that and she was the least active rider of the entire cast but there did seem to be a modicum of chemistry between them; not as much as some of the established names in the cast but present all the same. Summary: No Panties Allowed by director James Deen for Burning Angel was full of tattooed ladies having sex with a few of the younger mopes in porn, providing a degree of alt sensibility but only a small one for those keeping track. There was some chemistry between most of the pairings but frankly, the technical stuff was borderline amateur and not the best use of the scenarios was made so I ended up rating this one as a Rent It unless you are really into the gals listed above. In short, I was less than enthusiastic about the way the running time was listed on the back cover (including the BTS) and more could have been done with the couples to seem like they were truly into it instead of just less offensive because the guys weren't the same old men used so often these days but if you're a fan of "alt-porn", the casting of No Panties Allowed should help make it suit your needs better than most so check it out.
