Extra's: The best extra on the DVD was easily the 14.5 minute Behind The Scenes even with the goofy narration by Private's usual gal (whose name I don't know) that seemed to be reading a script made for a bad comic book. There was a lot of sex there and their fans will get a chance to lose the fantasy by seeing how plain a few of them look without makeup on. It was very grainy but added some value (interestingly enough, the BTS feature looked far worse then the movie, a turnabout for Private in many of their recent releases). There was also a bunch of trailers, a couple of photogalleries, a single page Production Notes (I prefer when the scenes are broken down by cast and some anecdotes are provided here but you can't win them all), numerous languages and subtitles, and some made up cast biographies.

Audio/Video Quality: Enjoy The Abyss: Pirate Fetish Machine 19 was presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen color as originally shot by director Susi Medusa Gottardi for Private. The clarity of the picture was great, the fleshtones superb, and the levels of grain and video noise minimal considering the low level lighting employed. The cameras moved around too much and some of the compositional judgments were not the best but the editing looked to have cleaned most of the flaws up so I was pretty forgiving since the picture was so good on these hot looking gals. The audio was presented in stereo English but there were times when I could swear they overdubbed the vocals (and did so poorly). One day, the audio will be as well done as the visual aspects but it doesn't look like it'll happen any time soon.

Body of Review: Those of us that like to see some fetish outfits and kinky sex, at least once and awhile for a change of pace, know that there really isn't much on the market these days. You either get full fetish outfits and some torture, for example, or you get actual penetration and other forms of sex but almost never the two combined (for political reasons I believe). The closest thing you'll find on the mainstream porn market is some of the releases by Private and today's review of Enjoy The Abyss: Pirate Fetish Machine 19 is simply the latest case of that kind of thing. Not too unlike the technically inferior Volume 17 of the series, this one had a weak story to showcase some fairly generic sex done in high fashion as the performers all donned latex, leather, and other apparel designed to appeal to a few of us. If that sounds good to you, here's a breakdown of the scenes to check out before my conclusion:

Scene One: Liliane Tiger and Angel Dark, a brunette and blonde tag team of perverted pleasure, took on the sick and twisted Andrea Moranti, in the opening scene. The gals took turns blowing him and licking his balls while he furiously pumped away at the air around their heads. Their fetish outfits enhanced their already wicked appeal and it seemed like forever before he started tapping those fine asses (with ATM/ATOGM action) with ease. Angel took the longest dicking but Liliane did a pretty good job too, yet neither of them was particularly energetic this time as he did all the work. They ended the scene with a facial and slight bit of cum swapping but it didn't showcase their talents to full effect as I had hoped.

Scene Two: Lucy Love and Sarah Blue, the two gals dressed like stripper police on the front DVD cover, were up next with Gabriel Montoya (wearing a mask on his head) as they dominated him in a back alley. They used riding crops and bad attitudes to work up a load in his balls, stroking his shaft, sucking him off, and spitting on him like the trash he was to the thumping techno beat in the background. The overdubbed groans were distracting but it was an energetic scene nonetheless. The gals teased, tormented, and spilled beer all over his body too before giving him the relief he needed with some of the old in and out boning I expected. In all, it was an interesting scene but a bit more emphasis on the fetish action would've made it better.

Scene Three: Susie Diamond, an attractive brunette with a gothic look, Liliane Tiger wearing leather pants, and a nearly barren room were up next in the show. Liliane smoked a cigarette and started burning holes in Susie's shirt, causing some friction between the dominant Liliane and her play toy, but their roles secure, the two played it out to the end with lots of oral on one another and some fingering (pussy and ass) with licking of the fingers. This scene had some merit too but mostly due to the look of the gals since they have been nastier elsewhere.

Scene Four: Angel Dark, again looking great as she led Robert Rosenberg to a bed with Neeo on top of it (wearing a fishnet stocking over his head; at least it looked like him), was given another chance to shine as she blew Neeo and then both of them at once (taking two dicks in her mouth) with some measure of skill. Within moments, the two guys were DP'ing her soundly in a couple of positions before swapping out for some taste testing. She could pump her hips with the best of them but it looked too "professional" for my tastes and she never lost control to just bucking wild as she has in the past.

Scene Five: Vanessa Hill, a very lean gal with little body fat, wore her fetish gear with pride as she took on similarly garbed Andrea Moranti in a generic room. The oral, anal, and minor variations seemed to be by the numbers here too although she did put in some energy at times. I didn't like her scarf (covering her head) and thought her ability to do anal was minor, but fans of rubber will appreciate the outfits at least a little more than I did and if you like sex on the dining room table; watch out!

Scene Six: Susie Diamond, that gothic gal from earlier, was up in the last scene, dressed much like the characters from A Clockwork Orange with her hat, suspenders, and cane, deciding to enjoy some in and out with Andrea Moranti and Gabriel Montoya in a dungeon. The guys wore masks so I could only be sure of Andrea's identity but each of them poked and prodded the gal like crazy, tearing her a new one with the oral, anal, and DP action. Her moaning got repetitive but in most ways, it was the best scene of the batch here, even with the audio track sounding like it was mixed on the fly. Fans of Susie will appreciate that this was her very first double penetration scene (DP's are standard in Private movies these days) although she looked to be fairly experienced in getting one.

Summary: Enjoy The Abyss: Pirate Fetish Machine 19 was easily worth a rating of Rent It for those of you wanting to see attractive gals in fetish outfits having gonzo sex. The edge needed to quality as truly kinky sex or something out of the ordinary was missing or I'd have elevated the rating a notch, but this is something the entire Private line seems to need some work on. They have proven the ability to get beautiful women, have routinely (not always) proven to have some great technical proficiency in terms of working the camera, lighting and such, and often have the best locations in porn but they fall short when it comes to instilling a sense of passion to go with the technical expertise of the performers. This is something that can't be taught so maybe if they eventually learn to get gals into the mood first or otherwise find a way to obtain a performance that looks like the gals aren't on the clock, Private will rule porn.
