Extras: First off, the package includes both a Blu-ray disc and a standard definition disc so that everyone will be able to enjoy the movie, the price the same. There was a 31:47 minute Behind the Scenes feature, 9:03 minutes of interviews, 3:26 minutes of Bloopers, some trailers, a photogallery, spam, and a new bonus scene between Alexis Ford and Derrick Pierce lasting 18:40 minutes. Then, there was an older scene from Cheerleaders Academy, with Gracie Glam, Alexis Ford, and Amia lasting 18:33 minutes as described in detail below. To me, that is a fine package of extras compared to most production outfits out there, most of whom are cutting back these days.

Audio/Video Quality: Perfect Ass: Alexis Ford was presented in the usual 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Andre Madness for Adam & Eve. Of interest is that this movie was released as a combo pack with a Blu-ray disc and a regular DVD, the best of both worlds as it were, the SD version in MPEG-2 with a bitrate of around 4.5 Mbps while the high definition upgrade clocked in at 15.4 Mbps using the AVC codec. In both cases, the composition of the shots appeared optimized for the ladies to look their best, some minor issues with editing not interfering with my enjoyment of the scenes. The lighting was generally consistent and there was little grain, the Blu-ray version showing significantly more detail and contrast in the better lit portions. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English with 192 Kbps bitrate, 48 kHz sampling rate, and generally allowed all the vocals to be heard clearly, neither version particularly superior to the other. The dynamic range was average and the aural aspects of the show not optimized compared to the high definition visuals.

Body of Review: Andre Madness had a banner year in 2010, scoring big kudos for Rawhide 2: Dirty Deeds at Adam & Eve. His latest release is called Perfect Ass: Alexis Ford, a set of five scenes with two of them starring Alexis Ford. Of note, this is Adam & Eve’s attempt to generate some interest in the high definition Blu-ray media, most distributors and other companies suggesting those claiming huge sales in the format are misrepresenting (in a major way at that) their own sales. Be that as it may, this type of release must be working out fairly well since the sole company claiming any real sales in high definition has now started using it themselves, albeit for a slightly higher cost, though few seem to have seem the end results. In terms of Adam & Eve’s venture into the dual format outing, it appears to be interesting given the wealth of extras, the clarity of the visuals, and the casting elevating the title enough to hit our radar at Xcritic. Alexis Ford is gaining some fan response and has all the right physical attributes, the inclusion of Lexi Love, Gracie Glam, and Asa Akira in scenes certainly adding some stroke value. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

The inclusion of the regular version of the disc as an extra was a solid attempt to broaden the appeal of the high definition version, making this a good choice if you’re looking for both versions at a reasonable price. In short, Perfect Ass: Alexis Ford will appeal to her fans and those that appreciate the rest of the cast as well, Lexi Love, Asa Akira, and Gracie Glam, all adding to the fun of the movie so give it a look.
