Extra's: The extras started off with an eleven minute long Behind the Scenes feature directed by Steve Austin. It had some funny moments due to the subtitles on the bottom of the screen but very little nudity or sex took place here. That was followed by almost five minutes of goofy bloopers, an excellent 29.5 minute set of masturbation scenes called "The Nastier Side" by the gals, some trailers, and a slide show.

Audio/Video Quality: Cum Tales 1 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color that it was originally shot in by Andre Madness and Steve Austin (not the founder of Texas or the six million dollar man though). The colors were somewhat muted at times and the entire production was marred with a number of compression artifacts but aside from locking up my computer's DVD player several times, it could've been worse. The camera angles weren't always flattering to the cast and the lighting left much to be desired but if you're a fan of the gals, and I know many of you are, it's worth a look or two. The stereo English audio was kind of interesting in how well separated the channels were. Sadly though, the music played on one channel and the vocals were on the other. That's a bit too separated for my tastes if you know what I mean.

Body of Review: Madness Pictures is still a fairly new player in the porn industry but it has a lot of talented people behind it; including owner/founder Andre Madness. I've watched his work for some time now and other than a few stumbling blocks in recent times, the man has proven his worth over and over again. Flattery aside, his company's latest releases seem to suffer more from weak DVD mastering than anything else (you may have noticed my comments on some of their earlier releases) although the technical aspects need some polishing up too. That said, the latest release by the company is Cum Tales 1, a series of vignettes that have the women swallowing or otherwise playing with semen in all but one scene. If you like this sort of thing and enjoy the cast, check out the following breakdown of scenes by cast:

Scene One: Roxanne, looking very good for her age as she wore a black PVC outfit to entice Marco into having a scene on a couch, was up first; proving experience still counts for something in the porn industry. I could hardly fault Andre for his selection as she's a cutie with some solid oral talent. The bonus here was that she was also playful as all get out. Her vaginal skills weren't put to much of a test but she did a lot of anal here for the fans. I saw little, if any, chemistry between them but each gave enough of themselves to show me they knew what they were doing. It ended with an anal creampie that she scooped out and ate.

Scene Two: Ciera, a blonde that has started popping up a lot lately, did her bit of tease action before doing the deed with both Jerry and Talon. Other than her manly eyebrows, I thought she was a great looking gal with a nice body well worth plundering. She did all the usual tricks and it ended after the DP took place. I thought she had a lot of untapped potential and other than some nasty ass zits, I'd have done her myself. Look for her to really come alive once she learns the ropes more but this early scene showed she could make it to the top if given the right marketing and polish.

Scene Three: Jessica, the gal on the front DVD cover, and attractive Roxanne had the next scene as the two lipstick lesbians went at one another with oiled up bodies. There was a tremendous amount of rubbing, licking and toy play going on here along with the usual taste testing. I actually liked this scene as much as any of the others but it was missing something to really set it over the top. If you like lesbian action though, you'll probably enjoy it a bunch.

Scene Four: Shy, a hot looking brunette with implants that don't really enhance her much (she's smart enough to know it though), has been a favorite of many fans lately for her various heated performances in porn. Seth was the lucky bastard that got to get some of her pie and her oral was to die for. The screwing action was strictly vaginal but she wasn't as energetic this time and seemed to mostly hold on to the ride here. In any case, fans will like the scene and I count myself among them, even if she's been better elsewhere.

Scene Five: Jessica, laying on a couch waiting for some man to liven up her day, found Marco the man of the hour. She looked better in this scene than before and he went down on her almost as skillfully as she did him. The two screwed in several positions; both vaginally and anally, and the sultry nature of the sex was pretty warm, if generic at times. Overall, it wasn't really a well done scene but I like watching her so if you're a fan, you will too but otherwise you'll likely find it kind of a filler scene.

Summary: Cum Tales 1 is not Andre's best work but it's worth a rating of Rent It despite the technical problems. The women had some appeal and while they may get better with age, they still had some areas in their sexual repertoire to work out before really setting the world on fire. I think the amount of fuck for the buck was pretty high this time but the quality issue arose more than once and I think that while Madness Pictures is on the verge of a breakthrough, they aren't living up to their potential at this time.
