Michael Raven shows both the joys and dangers of falling in love with a younger woman in Metro's Eighteen, a movie which stars Steven St. Croix as a writer who gets hitched to a woman his age, but can't keep his eyes off her eighteen-year-old daughter.
Cherry Rain plays the object of Steven's affection, and we get a good look at her in the very first scene, as she gets frisky with three of her school mates, played by Ander Page, Aveena Lee and Sabrine Maui. Steven just happens to be nearby when this lesbian action is going on, and seeing Cherry getting wild with her friends only makes him lust more after Cherry.
But Steven doesn't act on his lust…instead he finds comfort in a hooker played by Kaylani Lei. During their scene together, Steven fantasizes about Cherry being with him. But since it would be immoral for him to do anything with her, he makes her the subject of the novel he is writing. Unfortunately, he makes one big mistake: he uses her real name in the story, causing his wife (played by Elizabeth X in a non-sex role) to flip out when she reads over his work.
To add to his problems, Elizabeth (who is a heavy drinker and smoker) collapses and dies, and Steven may or may not have had something to do with her death. But even though tragedy has struck, he sees it as the perfect opportunity to get to know Cherry better and takes her on a trip out to his cabin in the woods. While Cherry takes a nap on the couch, Steven fantasizes about her giving him a blowjob.
Turning on the radio, Steven finds out that the police are looking for him and suspect he may have had something to do with his wife's death. Waking Cherry, he insists that they must leave, but Cherry tells him that she needs to shower first, so he should just get things packed up and wait for her in the car. But when Steven goes outside, he finds Cherry making out with some other guy in the back of an SUV. Angered that another man would get to Cherry before he did, Steven makes a choice from which there is no return.
There's a nice twist ending to Eighteen, as well as a surprise cameo from one of adult film's finest performers. The movie contains one of the better scripts you'll find in an adult feature, and although the story is somewhat predictable, it's still quite entertaining.
Both the video and audio on this title are above-average, and extras include a behind the scenes segments, some humorous bloopers, trailers for this title and other Metro releases, and a quite informative director's commentary from Michael Raven, in which he admits that Stanley Kubrick's Lolita (and I suppose Vladimir Nabokov's novel as well) were a strong inspiration for this movie.
With a strong story and some very erotic sex scenes, Eighteen is a good choice for those looking for an entertaining adult DVD.
