Extras on this compilation included two separate items. One, I enjoyed, and one I found rather annoying. Bad before good. There are some forced Phone sex ads about midway through the DVD. I found this rather annoying. Thankfully, you could fast forward through them. The portion that I enjoyed were previews for some upcoming Vivid DVDs such as "Illicit", "Flasher", "Fade to Black II" and "Heavy Breathing".
Summary:
I loved the 1980s and mid 1990s. Personally, these are the porn stars I grew up with. What's not to love. Back in the day, when even the dicks had sideburns and all of the male adult porn stars had mustaches was all the above porn produced. The women on the other hand, still controlled the industry and were free to let their pubic hair grow. Fake tits was a huge decision in a porn star's life. A porn star had the decision to have them implanted from below, creating a giant scar, or the ole "lop off the nipple" procedure. Many implants leaked and caused problems. All of this in the midst of an AIDS panic that had the industry reeling for many of the years included in this compilation. The video and audio, as expected was grainy and a far cry from today's standards. It was fun to see some of these women perform again on DVD. However, since it is a compilation with very little additional value added, I must give Vivid Girls Volume 1 a Rent It rating.
