Ron Jeremy gets to channel a bit of Don Corleone in Goodaughters a 1997 Jim Enright-directed title that is far from the best movie you'll see on DVD, but was nevertheless kind of enjoyable the first time through.

Jeremy plays Carlo Rosatto, who must decide who will be the heir to the family business when his son, played by TT Boy, is blown up in a car explosion. Before we get to that point in the story, however, we get an opening sex scene between Alyssa Love (one of Carlo's daughters) and John Decker; and another scene between Chloe (credited here as Chloe Nicole) and TT Boy – right before he is blown into tiny little pieces.

Meanwhile, one of Carlo's other daughters, played by Chelsea Blue, gets into a lesbian pairing with a performer named Meridian (note: this isn't the foreign Meridian of Marc Dorcel fame). The third sister, Shanna McCullough, also has a sex scene – this one that takes place during TT Boy's wake – with Steve Drake.

The major thrust (no pun intended) of the story concerns several other Dons vying for favors from Carlo – and which of those Dons might be behind TT Boy's death. As it turns out, one of the sisters is behind it…but I won't ruin your enjoyment of the movie by telling you which one!

The movie ends on kind of a down note, as the sister in cahoots with the evil Don winds up blowing up the rest of her family (seriously!)…destroying with it any chance of a sequel (although I'm guessing if they haven't made one by now, it's not going to happen).

I think the best part about watching Goodaughters is for Ron Jeremy's performance. Even though "The Hedgehog" doesn't have sex with any of the women in this title (whom are all playing his daughters…so that would be kind of gross!), he does do a pretty good job playing a mafia boss and is easily the best actor in the movie.

While both the video and audio are about average for an adult release, the extras here are near bare-bones – offering viewers only a chapter selection and a poorly designed slide show, which shows you four small pictures at a time instead of one large one.

Those looking for a reasonably-entertaining spoof of mafia movies will want to rent Godaughters, but replay value on this one is low, so there's really no reason to add it to your permanent collection.
