Extra's: There was also a 13.5 minutes Behind the Scenes feature that included some cast members not in the movie, largely because Jim was shooting more then one flick at a time here; the primary focus of the track being this one over Paradise Hole and Women In Control; reviews previously done. It did allow the ladies to give a quick shout and provide short informational interviews while in various states of undress though so I'm not complaining. There were also some minimal Star Bios, a trailers for Eye Candy Refocused, Timeless, a photogallery, a bit on the multiple angles used, and a jump to the scene bit too.

Audio/Video Quality: Blonde Brigade was presented in the originally filmed 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Jim Holliday for VCA Pictures back in February 2000 (filmed at the same time as Paradise Hole and Women In Control). The picture was crystal clear and had a wonderfully diverse cast as seen on the front DVD cover. The fleshtones were accurate thanks in large part to the flat and plentiful lighting, eliminating grain and other visual defects in a manner I wish contemporary companies would at least consider. This was another one of the early Holliday flicks that made great strides to cleaning up the picture and camerawork substantially and should be recognized as such. The audio was presented in the usual Dolby Digital stereo English but the vocals appeared to be looped in a few cases, the dialogue slightly wooden at times, and it sounded hollow less frequently than previous volumes in the series. The music was trademark Jim Holliday style with Scott Reno & the Vancouvers/Reno & the Rumrunners, providing all the light fluffy surfer tunes they were known for.

Body of Review: Jim Holliday used his directing job at VCA Pictures to thumb his nose at everyone except for the fans; putting him in the precarious position of relying on the fickle fans to keep doing what he liked to do. Thankfully, he was so responsive to their needs that they stuck with him, sending scores of snail mail letters at a time when the internet was still developing into the monolithic means of communication it has since become. Well, one of the cuter series he provided was the Jim & Jill Show (also known as the J&J Show) with the fifth title being Blonde Brigade, a vignette driven set of eight scenes of pure fluff with what the fans requested. The cover put it like this: "For quite some time, the adult world has been operating under two major misconceptions regarding Jim Holliday movies. One is that he only shoots girl-girl scenes, and the other is that he only hires cute blondes. So the title Blonde Brigade is a pure goof from the git-go. The vast majority of the female cast is comprised of sleek sexy brunettes and, as always, there is plenty of pecker to probe those perfect pink pussies and "puckers". But Jill and Jim listen to Fan Feedback, and this is their first show incorporating much of what you viewers want to see - like toe sucking and foot worship. Both gals have had their share of criticism over the years but scenes like this served to provide them all the evidence they needed to disprove claims that they weren't into their scenes.

Scene Six: Jessica Drake, the beautiful hotty in the patriotic bikini on the lower middle cover back when she was new to porn, Bobbi Bliss, and the mighty Evan Stone, were up next as they were taken from the orgy to pay for the use of warehouse time. Summary: Blonde Brigade by Jim Holliday for VCA Pictures was a lot of fun to watch and it provided lots of strokability, replay value, and a hot cast of cuties in this fifth volume of the J&J Show. Like much of his vignette work, there was trivia of the twisted and irreverent kind in between the scenes but also the kinds of kinky action fans requested. It was made at the same time as Paradise Hole and Women In Control; with Jim and Jill hosting the show that was light on expensive sets and tricks and high on cast value (spending the money on the cast rather then the frills). As such, I thought Blonde Brigade was worth a rating of Recommended for anyone into lesbian scenes, lots of action, and understands the goof of the title since most of the cast sported dark hair.
