Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in 1.33:1 ratio full frame color. While the picture was better than the last Passion Picture release I watched, this time, the lighting was usually too harsh which overwhelmed the colors and made them bleed (like crazy). There was also grain and other minor problems relating to the dvd transfer (some artifacts mainly). The audio was in Dolby Digital stereo but I didn't hear any separation between the channels and no DTS track was present here (one was advertised on the back dvd cover). The vocals weren't bad but they were below average compared to other feature porn releases.
Body of Review: I see a lot of porno so I am fortunate enough to be able to compare movies made by different companies, keeping in mind that each of them address a specific market niche. Passion Pictures seems to be going after the feature porn market, one pretty much owned by the likes of Wicked Pictures, Simon Wolf, VCA< Vivid and a handful of others. That makes this company somewhat of an underdog since those companies all have large budgets, experienced directors, and stables of talent that are often very big with the fans. In Passion's latest release, Flesh Friday, the company seemed unable to decide if they were going to make a sequel to their last release, Ally McFeal or if they wanted to make a Howard Stern knockoff. In the Behind the Scenes feature, the whole crew seemed to acknowledge the continuing saga of the television lawyer but after the first scene, that concept was dropped like a hot rock. The movie then switched gears and went with the radio show format, and still didn't use it much, but provided the following five scenes:
Scene One: Gauge, the little gal with the willing attitude, and Mark, had a scene in the courtroom. She started it off by orally warming him up with one of her award winning blowjobs before he got to screw her vaginally. Not a bad scene.
Scene Two: Kianna, the light-haired Asian gal with large implants, and Eric, played a gal and a cop scene here. They took it inside onto a bed and did oral and straight only. It wasn't bad but kind of average.
Scene Three: Violet, a petite little gal with an all-natural body, did Tony inside a house. She started off by blowing him, even sucking his balls a bit, before he returned the favor, then screwed her on a staircase. The scene ended with a cream pie in the pile driver position and was also average.
Scene Four: April and Zana, a couple of blondes here, did each other in a jail cell while Mark watched from an adjoining cell. Lots of oral sex and a few toys used made this a decent lesbian scene but it was somewhat limited too.
Scene Five: Allysin, the blonde from Ally McFeal, and Dave, had a scene in a hospital bed. This was probably the best scene of the show and pretty well done when the special effects (slow motion primarily) were turned off. Oral and straight sex only between them.
Summary: In terms of pure technical matters, this show was better than the first release in most ways. Yeah, the lighting went too far in the opposite direction and the sex was pretty average most of the time but there was enough to suggest it as a Rent It movie. The acting was terrible and in the jail cell scene, at least the gals acknowledged that fact which made it funny. I suggest that the company lose the idea of making feature, plotted porn and focus on gonzo if they aren't going to work with decent scripts. The performers all seemed at home with the action but none of them did their best here. If it's sitting on the shelf at you local store on a bargain rental night, check it out.
