Audio/Video Quality: Allie was presented in anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Mason for Hard X. Mason was the sole credited camera operator and she took an artistic approach to some of the scenes, the second in particular providing overly saturated colors and lower lighting compared to the other scenes. The up side was that she relied less heavily on extreme close up shots to show the action than usual but the amount of tease before each scene was limited and Allie posed a lot, your mileage will certainly vary substantially regarding the visual elements depending on your individual preferences. The aural qualities of the scenes were presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital offering, no separation or depth of field discernable and the sound was likely captured by the microphone built into the camera as in most gonzo titles shot these days.

Body of Review: Mason is the enigmatic director who currently shoots movies for Hard X, the award winning woman associated with gonzo porn for years now. Her latest release is a spotlight showcase called Allie, the director giving popular starlet Allie Haze a chance to shine in what has been billed as an “all anal movie”, meaning not that all she did was anal but that each of the four scenes included the forbidden act, her only female costar being Adriana Chechik in a single scene. Like Mason’s spotlight works of the past such as Keisha, Maddy, Mia, how much you will like the movie is almost totally dependent upon your appreciation of the featured act, Allie certainly sporting a devoted following over the years (even with her huge number of lesbian flicks); this not the first spotlight title she has been given. I like Allie’s works as a whole so my only concern going in was how well she would do anal, the whole idea of a “first” in this area reminding me how poorly most performers engage in anal sex their first times on camera. I’d be lying if I said Allie seemed ready to actively ride the likes of Manuel Ferrara, James Deen, or Lexington Steele in her ass and in fact, she did not, the babe passively enjoying the men stretching her precious pucker in the encounters but for the devoted fanboys who have been waiting for her to open up to anal, it was a major step forward, the gal offering better scenes with each other them elsewhere (albeit without anal) so I rated this one as Recommended for everyone else. If you happen to be one of her legion of fans you will certainly appreciate this title more than most though so show your love by picking up a copy and perhaps getting her to sign it for you as a memento. In short, Allie showed the next step in the on-camera sexual evolution of sexy Allie Haze, her future anal antics likely to improve as she gets used to the act but at this writing, you will find no better example of her doing anal than this one so check it out.
