Extra's: For most of you, the best extra will be the bonus scene between Keri Sable and Evan Stone from Dark Sins. I described it below and it was well worth watching, even if you've seen it before. I also appreciated the 25.5 minute long All Access: Behind the Scenes of All About Keri by Nikki Fritz. It was fun, had some extra sex footage, and stands up as a solid production that added value to the DVD release. There were also a number of photogalleries and star statistics, a classy cardboard protective sleeve, four promotional reels, DVD ROM materials like Wicked Awards and Nominations, company profile, casino game, and desktops, a DVD catalog, some spam, and trailers to shows like Eternity, Camp Cuddly Pines, Secrets of the Velvet Rings, Road Trixxx 3, and others.

Audio/Video Quality: All About Keri was presented in a non-anamorphic widescreen color with an apparent aspect ratio of 1.85:1. It was well lit in most instances, limiting the grain and video noise and providing a substantial amount of clarity over some of David's previous works at Vivid. The flesh tones were accurate and the composition of the shots seemed to enhance the look of the ladies although the sex scenes should've lasted longer in my opinion. The DVD mastering showed some care though with no compression artifacts or mosquito noise ad only the occasional issue during the final scene (thanks to the blue screen effect used). The audio track was presented with the choice of the 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround in English, or a 2.0 dubbed track in German or equivalent in Spanish. I spot checked the dub tracks and they sounded somewhat bizarre while the primary track didn't have the kind of separation needed to really qualify for kudos, nor the dynamic range to test drive my home theatre set up but I didn't expect it would. The vocals were likely shot in monaural with a bit of stereo added in during the post production audio mastering (with decent music I might add).

Body of Review: David Stanley is one of those directors that tries to make movies reminiscent of Twilight Zone episodes, complete with quirky endings, sometimes succeeding in making movies that are actually as fun to watch to they are to stroke off to. His attempts don't always work out but whatever failings he had when directing for an assembly line production company, his new home as a Wicked Pictures contract director are likely to give him plenty of chances to do more than ever before (whether this works out or not will be largely up to him). His latest movie is All About Keri, is a porn tribute to the mainstream hit The Producers where Eric Masterson (often used as a stand-in for David thematically) is a director of commercials trying to break into "real" movies. In order to get his first movie off the ground though, he has to deal with a variety of people financing the effort, making those little compromises all of us are faced with from time to time. The crux of the plot then, is how well does he react to these nuisances impacting his dream. Sexually though, the movie was more about the former contract performer Keri Sable, now out of porn, so fans of the lean little gal will definitely want to skip what I say about the flick and pick up a copy just for her part in the scenes. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were used but they really weren't obtrusive:

Scene One: Kimberly Kane, a sexually aggressive bleach blonde with a lean but curvy body, was up first as girlfriend to Eric Masterson; the director of the show. She pulled him away from his typewriter to get a little action, starting with him going down on her to convince her into doing some anal ("just the tip" he begged). She wasn't buying it though and he had to settle for some powerfully active vaginal in a few positions, the kind of compromise most of us could live with (and a metaphor for the larger themes of the movie). Still, from the beginning grope to the ending facial, the two seemed to hit it off nicely with some solid chemistry and passion; making it a decent scene.

Scene Two: Sarah Blake and Justine Joli, both dressed in schoolgirl outfits that strippers might wear, were up next in a lesbian scene together on a bed. Sent over by Evan's crazy Russian character to cheer up his pal Eric, the gals went at it with all their usual sultry moves (they looked like sisters, making it even more of a forbidden fruit to watch). The music playing in the background reminded me of the early 1950's slow dance music I used to listen to when I was younger and seemed fitting somehow for the action's pacing. The gals savored each other's tastes and took their time with some mighty playful action though Sarah spent too much time glancing at the camera, weakening the illusion of the scene for me. For those who care, the scene was all tongues and fingers with no toys deployed at all.

Scene Three: Keri Sable, the bleach blonde on the front DVD cover, was up next in a scene with Manuel Ferrara and Jay Huntington in a plush bedroom. She was initially dressed in a harem styled outfit and the guys wore gay masks as she went from sucking one to the other and back again. Keri's best sexual skill has long been her oral talents so I figured the opening of the scene, complete with harpsichord music, would be fine and I was correct in my assumption. Manuel went down on her as Jay worked her pussy over first, switching places as the tempo to the music increased. The scene seemed really short though and the guys were popping off in no time. On a funny note, after the ending credits rolled, there was a funny clip where Jay was pissed off because Manuel, upon spewing his load the entire length of her body, got a drop or two on the muscular dude, who then spit on the leaner Frenchman who told him to calm down.

Scene Four: Keri Sable, looking more like Mariah Cary than ever, was up next in a scene with the mighty Evan Stone in his office. It started already underway with her on her back and his dick in her mouth as he pounded her senseless. His wig eventually fell off (it was part of his character; a wacky, scene stealing, over the top, electronics merchant) and he nearly blew his load into her mouth but soon got to hammer her pussy and ass slowly. She wasn't overly active in pumping back but she did make a lot of dirty talk as he stretched her tiny ass wide. It ended far too soon with her dropping seed on her face, giving her a semen goatee.

Scene Five: Faith, a very attractive brunette in a corset and matching apparel, was up next in a scene with muscular Reno in the luxurious bed. He wore a blindfold so that he wouldn't catch on that Keri Sable was only a secondary element of the scene; guiding Faith in the handjob, oral, and other sexual aspects of the action as the jazz score played. It didn't last long and ended when both gals jerked him off to a pulsating orgasm (though I wondered if he figured out the third set of hands before his blindfold was removed as the gals fawned all over his sweaty body).

Scene Six: Keri Sable and Eric Masterson were up last as they sucked and fucked in front of a blue screen (actually, it looked to be a green screen) with a variety of scenery cascading behind them as they stayed firmly planted on the bed. They did seem to have some chemistry together but she was a lazy fuck once more and that couldn't save the scene from oblivion in my mind. As attractive as Keri may have been when making porn, her sexual skills relied more on passively taking what was offered than aggressively taking what she wanted or needed to get off. As such, all the skillful direction in the world couldn't polish this one up enough to make it worth a replay for anyone but a newbie to porn or a fan of Keri's. This scene ended with a pop shot to her backside after she fingered her ass and tasted it for those who care.

Bonus Scene: Dark Sins: "Keri Sable, this time dressed up as a small town gal by a water tower in the Mojave desert near an oil rig with Evan Stone. He was a blue collar worker and she was in need of some manly attention so as the gentleman that he was, he took care of her needs as water cascaded down on them from above (in the BTS feature, she wasn't happy about it either but it looked good). He passionately warmed her up and she gave him a blowjob in return before they boned fairly energetically in a standing position. In a return to her roots, she also did anal here and at the end, swallowed his load easily. This was a really good scene with her."

Summary: All About Keri had some decent sex and a lot of amusing play acting by Evan Stone (Eric was perfect for the part he played though) but it was weakened by the lack of energy and passion by lead performer Keri Sable. I can appreciate that she has a following of fans that adore her looks and willingness to do all sorts of sex acts on camera but objectively speaking, she was the weak link of the chain throughout the movie. If someone with a more active sexual style had played the role, like Stormy Daniels, Jessica Drake, or any number of others at Wicked Pictures; I think the movie would've been much better. The story elements had some funny moments worth expanding on (though Stanley is no Jonathan Morgan) and I hope to see the director take on bigger projects in the future but this was a Rent It at best.
