Audio/Video Quality: Glamour Solos was presented in 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Tammy Sands for Girlfriend Films. The lighting was generally flat and ample, the bitrate sufficient to capture the action, but the relative artistic style used on most of the scenes came across as somewhat generic and boring. Most of the time, it looked like a single tripod mounted camera was used and someone couldn’t stop zooming in long enough to appreciate the beauty of the ladies, a slightly washed out look in some scenes readily apparent. What edits there were seemed abrupt too, making this a rare company flick that I just could not get into at all, despite the physical attractiveness of the entire cast. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English with a 48 kHz sampling rate and 192 Kbps aural bitrate, the majority of the sound coming from the moans of the cast, few of them vocalizing their sexual nature in a believable manner. It should be noted that the audio levels varied a lot here, more than they should have in a lot of cases.

Body of Review: Tammy Sands is the latest director credited with a release under the Girlfriend Films moniker, her Glamour Solos, a series of 15 female masturbation scenes. The ladies here (in order) were Ainsley Addison, Alisha King, Angela Sommers, Bree Daniels, Brett Rossi, Chikita, Cody Love, Emily Addison, Heather Vandeven, Kayden Kross, Nicole Aniston, Nicole Graves, Randy Moore, Raven Alexis, and Sabrina Maree. Given such a cast, the strokability content for eliciting gobs of genetic juice, population pudding, and spunk were off the scale, at least until I started watching the individual scenes.

While there were no condoms (and no men) here, some of the ladies used toys, all appeared to appreciate fine lingerie, and the generic settings made it clear that the focal point was rightfully supposed to be the cast. The downside of the entire affair was that as splendid a cast as this was, the lineup including Ainsley Addison, Alisha King, Angela Sommers, Bree Daniels, Brett Rossi, Chikita, Cody Love, Emily Addison, Heather Vandeven, Kayden Kross, Nicole Aniston, Nicole Graves, Randy Moore, Raven Alexis, and Sabrina Maree, they were not used as effectively as they should have been. I would break down the scenes except it struck me pretty early on that the formulaic proceeding was not going to vary a whole lot and few of the gals were given enough room to really shine as I have seen several of them do in the past.

Granted, the movie started off on a decent note with Ainsley Addison in a home sweat room with a glass dildo, her act one of the few that seemed to show her getting off, but it plummeted quickly and the technical values on the audio seemed to be given less attention as things progressed. That a number of the ladies did not see fit to even smile hurt it too, the lighting in the scene featuring Heather Vandeven washing it out really badly as well. As much as I wanted to like the movie, and I’m a big fan of the company’s better works, I just found this a pretty tame showing all around, hardly worth the bother unless you’re a completists for some of the performers and their scenes.

Summary: Glamour Solos by director Tammy Sands for Girlfriend Films fell flat on many levels, the technical aspects certainly a factor but the narrowly tailored female masturbation sequences typically boring so I rated it as a Skip It unless you’re really into bland solo sex by otherwise lovely ladies. In short, Glamour Solos should have scored big given the cast of cuties including Ainsley Addison, Alisha King, Angela Sommers, Bree Daniels, Brett Rossi, Chikita, Cody Love, Emily Addison, Heather Vandeven, Kayden Kross, Nicole Aniston, Nicole Graves, Randy Moore, Raven Alexis, Sabrina Maree, but it dropped the ball more often than not, the lack of genuine sexual heat the biggest factor going against it.
