Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in 1.33:1 ratio full frame color. There was some problems with over saturated colors here-I think it was due to the lighting and this caused some grain as well. There were also occasional artifacts but most of the time it looked pretty clear. The sound was in stereo but nothing better than average with a music track that could've easily been dispensed with.

Body of Review: Frank Thring has had quite a career making porno's over the years. When he was with Private Pictures, he was known for making movies with a bit more kink than average and now that he's with Hustler, he has toned down some of his previous style. In Hustler Confidential 1: Hard As Diamonds, his movie was about some diamond smugglers and it had a few moments worth checking out. In a movie made at the same time, Hustler Confidential 2: Smooth As Satin, Frank uses a minimal plot about a group of dancers on the road to showcase the cast. Most of the scenes used anal sex and hardcore action but the problem was the mechanical nature of several scenes. If you're a fan of the cast, noting that they looked better in action than on the dvd cover, here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast:

Scene One: Dressing Room: Alissa and Kelli, a couple of moderately attractive gals, and Nick, had a scene inside a dressing room after he held a casting call in which they weren't chosen. They did their best to change his mind, including using oral, straight, and anal sex as well as ATM. The sex was very mechanical and I could've sworn one of the gals looked up at the clock on the wall to see if her meter had run out. Pass.

Scene Two: The Pool: Tiffany, an attractive gal with long light brown hair, Steve, and Darren, had a scene outdoors. The lighting was great and she really knew how to please a couple of guys. There was a lot of anal for those who like it as well. Warm!

Scene Three: Mr. Big: Alissa, Kelli, Samantha, and Frank, had a scene outdoors. Frank paired off with Samantha while the other two had a lesbian scene. Samantha looked better here than in Mr. Beaver #18. Not a bad scene, however limited it was.

Scene Four: 1 Man Orgy: Tiffany, Alicia, Daphne, and James had a scene on a couch indoors. The lighting was sometimes good and sometimes below average but the sex was slightly warm in this reverse gangbang. There was anal sex, as in most of the scene of the movie, for those who appreciate it more than I do.

Scene Five: Sin City: Alicia, Wanda, Samantha, Tiffany, Daphne, Lee, Steve, and Darren had what amounted to an orgy in a living room. Alicia did most of the hardcore stuff, including a DP, but the scene was far too short to capture the action adequately.

Summary: While I liked a scene or two here, my overall impression was that this was generic porn, made on a tight timetable and budget, at the same time several other releases were made. It's not terrible but it wasn't worth a rating of more than Rent It either. The technical aspects and cast were mixed in terms of quality and it showed all too often.
