Extras: The best extra for me wad the nearly 11.5 minute long section of strip tease performances by the ladies of the cast. Not all of them were equally talented but they seemed to do a decent job gyrating in front of and otherwise teasing the camera in a manner that should lose some loads out there. The 2.5 minute long Photoshoot montage was also pretty good but I particularly enjoyed the 14.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature as it gave the cast a chance to shine in the manner that Juan Cuba could coax out of them in the odd moments surrounding the scenes. There was also a popshot recap from the scenes and a photogallery with a double sided DVD cover if you're looking for other box covers.

Audio/Video Quality: Anal Expedition #9 was presented in 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as originally shot by director Manuel Ferrara for release by Red Light District. The lighting could've been a bit better at times as it led to some extra grain but this was far more pleasing to the eye than most gonzo made at this time by other companies. There was no moiré and the fleshtones looked very accurate with the composition of the shots always enhancing the look of the gals. There were no compression artifacts observed and I thought the visual qualities of the show were well handled. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English audio track was about the same as always with the vocals heard easily enough, even if there was no separation between the channels and the dynamic range wasn't anything special. In general, the technical qualities looked and sounded quite solid.

Body of Review: Manuel Ferrara may have left his long time home at Red Light District earlier this year but he had made a lot of material before heading out and this is why we'll be seeing his RLD movies for months afterwards. His latest release is Anal Expedition #9, the sequel to Anal Expedition 8, where Manuel and his associates have anal sex with a number of skilled women in the usual settings of a house; typically on a couch. There was an effort to mix it up this time and provide some extra footage that would've been right at home in other RLD/PXP movies. That said, here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used by the men and that all the ladies did anal:

Scene One: Alicia Angel, a great looking lean brunette with an all natural body, was up first as she participated in a blow bang with a horde of guys surrounding her as she took turns working their shafts (orally and with her hands) while Manuel Ferrara watched from the second story of the house into the cavernous living room. The performances weren't all the very best I've seen from the company but it was well worth the cost given the replay and stroke value it had. Manuel Ferrara is still learning his craft as a director but if this is any evidence as to where he was at before leaving RLD, I suspect he'll have a lengthy and prosperous career ahead of him.
