Extra's: Like most of the Shane's World releases of late, there were some good extras with my favorite being the 26.5 minutes of Behind the Scenes footage. The cast and crew were having a lot of fun and I enjoyed watching it; especially for the extra sex and nudity. It showed a playful side of things that fans will appreciate. I also liked the 14.5 minutes worth of interviews was hilarious; Roxy being the most animated of the bunch by far. The 4.5 minute long photoshoot was nice too but far too short for my tastes. There was a photogallery, and trailers to shows like College Invasion 9, Blazed & Confused 1, Blazed & Confused 2, Oral Supremacy, Pork BBQ, Guide To Anal Sex, Girls Night Out 1, Girls Night Out 2, Shane's World 37, Shane's World 36, Shane's World, and Shane's World: Nerdz as well.

Audio/Video Quality: Jamaican Vacation: Collector's Edition was presented in the same 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by for release by director Devinn Lane for Shane's World. The title was supposed to look like it was shot by an amateur; something like the Girls Gone Wild series, and it did in virtually all scenes. The lighting would wash out the fleshtones, the camera would lose focus, and the composition of the shots would look like a drunken monkey filmed it but the raw energy of the show remained intact but far less so then some of her previous efforts (utilizing Alex Torres/Voodoo as one of the helpers this time). This is much like many of the other releases by the company but all kidding aside, the quality of the technical values isn't the major factor most people use when deciding to buy a movie from Shane's World; it's the kind of nervous energy and fun; both of which were here in spades. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English audio was decent but I didn't notice a lot of separation between the channels (the center channel provided pretty much all of the sound on my home theatre and my headphones didn't provide a markedly different experience either) and the dynamic range was about average for the series. The technical values in general were decent but a bit more work might help them get even better in the future.

Body of Review: Devinn Lane has been directing for Shane's World enough that I really thought she was stuck in the same mode she was in with her former company, Wicked Pictures. She left them to do something different and it kind of rubs me the wrong way that much of her work elsewhere is very much like the same stuff she shot there. Well, in another such flick, she showed that she could direct without getting as into the action as peer Penny Flame, in a movie that I would have bet money would have gone to the younger gal given her recent efforts for the company, called Jamaican Vacation: Collector's Edition. The idea was another travel movie with the sex being confined largely to the professionals this time, as assisted by a couple of well known performers taking auxiliary roles this time. The back cover said it like this: "Yo Mon! Come along with Devinn Lane on her pornstar getaway. Things heat up quickly when Roxy fucks Will on a boat in front of horny tourists. Later, Sunny takes Kris to a secluded beach to give up her buried treasure. Back at the resort the lucky camera guy gets a blowjob from all four girls. So grab a beer and hang loose – it's time for a Jamaican Vacation!" That said, we got in our advance copy just in time to provide you with a head's up of what took place, though there wasn't a lot of stoner talk and drug use as expected in the movie shot as part of Devinn's birthday celebration. Here's a look at the scenes, noting there was no condom use either:

Scene One: Alicia Alighatti, the lean little gal from the lower left hand corner of the front cover, was up first on the roof of a two story building with Will Powers. The couple had started getting frisky in the bar below and rather than treat everyone to a show, they took the act outside and upstairs. Both added a sense of playfulness to the proceeding, with some fine oral and the vaginal power screwing beside the sign that warned "no jumping". It seemed almost as if they were regular, admittedly freaky, tourists getting off but both actively participated so even the extensive wind noise didn't bug me. It ended after many positions with a titty fuck and facial; the pair going down the waterslide to clean off.

Scene Two: Roxy Deville, the hot brunette featured on the lower right hand corner of the cover, was up next as part of a celebration of director Devinn's birthday with Will Powers on the boat (catamaran) during the stormy day. The regular tourists got quite a show on the choppy ride as Roxy went to work, and work hard, as she tore into his cock after some warming up by him. Summary: Jamaican Vacation: Collector's Edition by director Devinn Lane for Shane's World really wasn't any different from her road trip movies at Wicked so if you liked them as much as I did, you'll enjoy this one. The lush scenery, the attractive ladies like Roxy Deville and Sunny Lane, and the technical values all made it worth a rating of Recommended for me, even if the levels of fuck for the buck dropped down a little. The extras helped make up for it though and I'll be the first to admit that Jamaican Vacation: Collector's Edition fit the type of material the company is looking to provide these days; making me think that the Jamaican Tourist Board might want to hire Shane's World to film their next campaign to attract tourists much like their movies make certain colleges more popular.
