Extra's: By far, the best extra was the extra sex footage from the scenes. There was about 29 minute's worth of it; adding some substantial replay value to the DVD, even if it was cut out of the main scenes for a variety of reasons. The other extras included the obligatory photogallery, John Leslie biography, cast list, filmographies, a pop shot recap from the scenes (but no John Leslie Blues Band commercial as has been standard for a long time), and some trailers.

Audio/Video Quality: Fresh Meat 19: Dog Meat was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, as Evil Angel releases are known for. If you've seen any movie by John Leslie in the last five years, you'll know that he substitutes a stylish look for his movies in place of more traditional flat lighting. This means he seeks to accomplish a dark, mysterious look to his scenes, something that is either loved or hated depending on your personal tastes. I don't like it because of the grain, the compression artifacts, and the difficulty of seeing all the action but again, it's an artistic choice so you have to take my description with a grain or two of salt.

Body of Review: While the porn world is known for how disposable the casts and crew are, nonchalantly dumping people once they're used up and all their creative (and bodily fluid) juices are depleted, there still exists a niche for those willing to explore beyond the boundaries of contemporary porn and probably always will be. One such person would be director John Leslie; a guy that started out as a meat puppet in the golden age of porn and showing enough raw energy and talent that he elevated himself to the status of director. His latest release for Evil Angel is Fresh Meat 19: Dog Sweat, in which a cast of cuties engaged in his stylish form of sexually active boning for your viewing pleasure. Much like the wonderfully interesting (at times) Fresh Meat 18, there was a lot to like here and fans of porn might do well to consider why this guy has lasted so long whereas others fade away regularly. Here's a look at the scenes by cast and action to give you some idea of what took place and if it's what you're looking for:

Scene One: Kathy Anderson, a hot blonde wearing a rainbow bikini (shown on the upper middle of the front DVD cover), Sarah, a cute brunette wearing a red bikini (on the upper right hand side of the back DVD cover, and manly black porn stud Franco Roccaforte were up first as they had an interracial scene by the indoor pool. The gals took turns sucking him (and engaging in some lesbian antics) before he gave them a hot beef injection (with them doing some PTM and PTOGM). They advanced to anal (each gal got some) with corresponding taste testing there too before the facial. The gals managed to have fun, smiling the whole time, and provide some energetic fun during the scene, making it a winner.

Scene Two: Ariel Summers, the curvy bleached blonde on the lower right hand side of the front DVD cover wearing a white body stocking outfit (sheer panty hose and matching top), was up next as she walked into a room where a bunch of perverts were stroking themselves off. The unstated premise of the scene was for her to be their toy, much to the delight of John Dough, Alias, Juan Cuba, Scott Lyons, Joe Rock, and Dirty Harry. John did most of the screwing here; giving her pussy quite a pounding and reminding me a lot of superstar Melissa Lauren and the other guys mainly just jerked off (kind of weird and a waste of talent; although it was a small waste for the most part).

Scene Three: Jessica Fiorentino, the hot brunette on the middle right hand side of the front DVD cover bending over in lingerie, was up next as she teased the camera outside in the mid day sun. She eventually walked over to naked George Uhl and Cage; both of whom were behind the chain link fence as though dogs (some barking dog footage was edited into the scene). She blew them and screwed them through the fence before they all got together by a lawn chair and I had to admit her energy was very solid here. They did some heated anal and DP too with plenty of taste testing before the great scene ended with them stroking off into her awaiting mouth.

Scene Four: Victoria Swinger, the hot bleached blonde featured on the left side of the front DVD cover, began the scene taking a piss on the toilet seat before donning her panties and joining equally attractive blonde Sue Diamond (found on the upper right hand side, second spot over, of the back DVD cover), and muscular George Reno in the sauna (she did masturbate with a thick dildo but it was more of a sideline than anything else). There was some energy here but mainly the gals seemed to be there for their looks and little chemistry was noticed (fake moaning won't cut it).

Scene Five: Sativa Rose, a brunette that has proven herself several times as being a great lay on camera (on the immediate upper left hand side on the back DVD cover), masturbated on the ledge of the living room while watching blonde pal Sharon Wild (right beside her on the upper back DVD cover), ride on a saddle as Frank Gun orally stimulated her. Sharon then blew him, slowly, before Sativa joined the couple on the couch. In all, the technical values weakened the scene but the heated sex drive of this trio was pretty solid. Summary: Fresh Meat 19 was very much like John Leslie's other releases in that it was short on technical excellence but high on providing a lot of high energy performances by a wonderfully attractive cast. I'd be in denial if I said this type of thing lacked the ability to get me off and while I think a bit more polishing up would greatly benefit future volumes, I still think it was worth a rating of Recommended. The bonus sex footage, the length of the show itself and the ability of the cast to milk a nut both on camera and at home (with the viewing audience) was great, giving this a decent amount of fuck for the buck.
